These photos are just in the part of Luzon including Quezon, Bulacan, Aurora, Gapan, Nueva Ecija, and more, not to mention other affected areas. Imagine how destructive this typhoon is.

Typhoon Karding also known as Noru (International name) has maximum sustained winds of 195 km/h. It underwent a period of “explosive intensification” before making landfall, as its maximum sustained winds increased by 90 km/h in 24 hours.

Signal No. 5 was the highest wind signal raised and the rain reached torrential levels.

This super typhoon kills several people and even animals, It destroys shelters and leaves a lot of people hopeless.

In this moment of devastation, Sierra Madre (The Backbone of Luzon) took a stand and do her thing she protects more lives. Being the longest mountain range in the Philippines, she acts as a natural shield against these natural disasters and floods we all know that trees prevent soil erosion, and trees also play a vital role in slowing wind and water flow. I can say that the Sierra Madre really saves millions of lives.

**STILL IN DANGER?
**

Despite the vital role that Sierra made plays, the Government eyeing this holy mountain for their planned project "Kaliwa Dam"
and if it is pushed through this mountain will be gone, including our endangered species "The Philippine Eagle".

It was devastating to see these, but Filipinos are very resilient. We do not leave no one behind. Thank God for Sierra Madre for protecting us!

The Sierra Madre really amaze me for protecting some of us from the typhoon. This only shows a lesson that we should also protect nature and we should be responsible for taking care of them at all costs.
