Morals Are Not Born, They Are Built.
A lot of things can determine a person's morals during upbringing. One is an individual factor, but before we have an individual, there are so many factors that can determine your morals. Such as your upbringing, culture, religion, and so on. In the society there are different kinds of people; some are mannerless, and some have very good behavior. A person's morals can be changed or affected by many factors. As an individual, you can decide to do good things or bad things, in as you know the right from the wrong. Peer group also affects an individual either a good way or a bad way when it comes to morals, because some friends will actually teach bad behavior, and just because something isn't a crime doesn't make it look like it's actually good.
I saw a write up on cigarettes that it can causes lung cancer and that isn't a crime but then it's not that good for someone who actually knows what his doing. So and individual will determine not to do bad things or have bad behavior.

Starting from the upbringing: It is so obvious that the parents do a lot of work when raising children and the first morals began at home, there is this saying ( charity begins at home) Good behavior or even bad behavior begins at home, no doubt that there are different kinds of parents out there but a good parents will teach his/her child the right way. For instance the parents will teach how to respect elders, how to cook, how to stay away from problem and so on like that, they will also teach that talking back to elders is prohibited.
Culture on the other hand can also be a factor that can influence someone morals, I will use my culture as a case study. In my culture you will be taught many things such as you have to respect your elders, even if an elderly person offend you there's a way you go about it to not disrespect him, in my culture we do prostrate to greet the elders if you are a boy and for the girls they kneel to greet the elders, our culture also teaches good morals like, don't steal don't abuse and be nice to everyone.

Religion, as the last part teaches many things: Many religions teach about good behavior; religion teaches about treating everyone equally, no size talk about someone else, and religion teaches modesty by dressing nice. Don't dress half-naked and so on. Furthermore, religion teaches about taking care of parents and everyone. Although cultures also teach most of these. Meanwhile, religion also teaches giving to the poor, hospitality, and so on. Religion taught us how to have empathy for other people. I must say that the rate at which culture and religion teach morals in the society cannot be overemphasized.
In conclusion, the factos for morals can not be pin down to one thing, starting from the individual, and individual knows the right from wrong and know what do at the time, upbringing also matters a lot because everything starts from there anyway, someone with bad upbringing can not have a good morals, culture is also there our culture teaches discipline, self respect and so on. Religious also goes a very long way, this teaches not to bad things, love your neighbors and so on

I think as individuals everything we experience, whether religion, upbringing or culture has a way of leaving a mark and shaping us in the process.
Maybe some of them will change after pressure or an environment and social interactions that make their morals become very bad
A lot of things help build an individuals moral compass but at the end of the day, it all balls down to who that individual really is .
