My Bridgerton Wedding Theme Achieved! And the "Surprise" Bridal Shower!

Sharing my story about how I chose Bridgerton as my theme for my wedding. When my ex-boyfriend and my now-husband proposed to me on Mothers Day May of 2021, I was so excited to check wedding pages in Instagram and Facebook. I also checked wedding planners in Cebu and researched on wedding themes and wedding dresses. During that time, I was always bingewatching many Netflix series. Then I saw this episode of a series called The Bridgerton Wedding. When Daphne Bridgerton got married, I was amazed with the entourage dresses, the set up and the flowers. I sent the photo to my family group chat to see if they like the colors and the designs. They totally loved it! So that was pretty much the story behind how I was able to come up with my wedding theme.

If you've been following me and my sisters here in Hive, you'd probably know this little story already. But for those of you who do not, let me share it to you, from my own point-of-view. So last year October 2021, they (sisters and besties) planned a surprise bridal shower party in Bayfront Hotel that was hosted by my siblings. It was indeed cute since they stuck with the Bridgerton Wedding theme. My sister @gwenfinity bought her precious tea set for the Lady Joyce Tea party. My sister @sassycebuana bought the cake I loved and it's really cute with a betty boop design. My sister-in-law @krystalogue bought some donuts, too. I love how they come up with the surprise. I REALLY AM SURPRISED!! My sisters managed to gather all of my best friends, and yes, I only have a small circle of friends. Only one of them is still single and the rest are married.

HOW THEY GOT ME TO THE HOTEL FOR THE SURPRISE:

I was told by my bestie Chilly that she needs to go back to her hotel where she said she's staying at because she needs to poop. I was with her in Starbucks Ayala together with our other best friend Obri. She made an excuse that she has to use the loo in her hotel. When we arrived in the hotel in Bayfront Capitol, I asked her why she's bringing plenty of chips and she said she will eat it all. Little did I know my sisters are already in that room waiting for me.

When she opened the door they all came out in the comfort room and shouted surprise!!!!!!

Yes, I am SUPRISED, and then my sister Rica put the crown that read "Bride" on my head and a cute bridal sash. My sisters are very pretty in their colorful dresses. And oh my cake is really cute! I have a friend from the US who went home recently, my college bestie Manel, my other friend who's an ex-flight attendant from Qatar airways Donna who also came (by the way she's the wife of my husband's bestfriend). The other friends Obri is besties with Churchill in high school who also became a friend of mine and Jaina my college friend. Donna and Jaina brought some Moscato and Redwine.

After the dinner and pictorials at the hotel we decided to have some fun in F Bar located in Banilad Cebu. The party started and we order two bottles of rhum. After our party we stopped by Mcdonalds I.T. Park to eat some chicken since we got hungry after our drinking sesh. This is the happiest and the funniest clubbing I've ever had. Thank you so much ladies for spending time with me and for making me happy on my bridal shower. Cheers to being un-single! hahahaha
