THE CRIMINAL RAT

Today was a great day for me because since when I was born I have never stayed on my own, in fact only I stay in the house.

My name is Lyda. I was born in Istanbul, Turkey . That is where my parents live but my parents are from Cameroon but they do their business and their love in Istanbul.

Everytime my father goes to work my mother will take me to her business place since when I was small till I grow up and they put me in body school whereby my parents pleaded to the owner of the school that they will be taking me home every day because I am their only child and the owner of the school agree with the current situation in ground.

We are staying in an estate where the building belong to the company where my father is working,the estate is full of people like in the market square but still my mother refused to leave me at home and Everytime I ask you will say it's dangerous to leave her only child at home infact one day my mother stood up and explain to me that in their culture in Cameroon they don use to leave girls at home but I insisted that mummy I am an adult now with age of 19 year but my mother refused.

One day my father came home with a surprise to my mother and my mother said what is the surprise he said we should just enter the car and follow him we follow him without complaining he take us to one estate and show us a house that he bought but my mother was surprised about the house but she said anywhere it is good finally now we have our personal house

Mother said when are we packing to our new house

Lyda said Daddy where is my lollipop

My dad said I have big a big lollipop for you my daughter

My Dad said we are packing immediately to our new house but my mother made an order immediately for the car to pack our load to our new house.

*The driver packs all the load to our new house and we arrange the property in the house very well and it is a three bedroom flat, parlor and store where we store food stuff but everything is arranged in order to make the house look beautiful in the estate.

The next day my father goes to work and my mother take me to her business place and I followed my mother but I am over tired in the business place on our way coming back home a speak to my mother that tomorrow I will stay at home since now it is our new place my mother said if that is the case we should go to the market to make some necessary shopping so that tomorrow you will stay at home and enjoy yourself in watching movie.

The next day my father go to work and my mother go to work and they leave me at home I am watching movie and eating popcorn and water melon in the parlour it was exactly 2pm way the electricity when off by that time I was tired to on the generator I just sat down on the chair and I begin to hear a sound in the store like someone is there faching the rice my mother bought in the market yesterday and I was about to shout and screen but I just maintain silent thinking of what to do but sincerely speaking I am afread of what is happen and still the sound is still going on in the store and I quickly carry a stick and go outside and open the door I didn't see anybody there and I lock the door as I was about to enter the parlour I hear thesame sound again and I move faster and open the door and I realized that it is a big rat struggling for what he will eat to survive and I just leave him and come back to the parlour and on the generator and as soon as my mother came back home she saw a sign of sign scattered outside and she screen which I move outside immediately and I ask mummy what is the problem she show me with her hand and I laughed and said it is a rat looking for what to eat and my mother laughed and said so I hear the footstep step of the rat and I leave it because he is looking for what to eat and I said yes.
