Needlework on how to sew old car seat to turn out new

Hello everyone!

Happy weekend my co needleworkmonday friends, how are you guys enjoying your weekend, hope is peaceful. I love you guys so much.

Today I am so excited to be here again with you guys today to share a little DIY process on how I sew and cover a car seat. It is not a new diy post to you guys, although it might be to someone new here in this community. I love sharing my skills with you guys because I know they may be useful to one or two in this community. I really appreciate the Almighty God, the creator of heaven and earth, for the love he has for me and for always bringing a customer to me, no matter the situation in my country, although all cash is on transfer.

Here is the finished work I want to share with you guys and the process I followed to make it real.

Here was the seat before

I was very happy when this work was given to me by my customer so that I could work on one of his cars. And is just one of the seats, which is the driver's seat, he asked me to work on the seat and make it look new, so we discussed everything, and I started the work.

Firstly, I went to the market to get a new leather, and here it is.

After getting the new leather, I then proceeded with the process to make the seat look new. I loosen the main seat separate for the frame and the back with the help of my spanner and scroll driver just to make it easy for me when taking the measurement, and when I want to cover the finished sew seat cover,

After loosing the seat, I then use my sewing tape to take the measurement of the seat, i.e., the vertical and horizontal length of each pattern or joint of the seat.

I then transfer the measurement to my new leather, making sure the horizontal length and the vertical length are marked currently following the vertical and horizontal lengths of the new leather, and then mark them out.

After marking it out, I then use scissors to cut out the new leather, following the drawn line.

After I finish cutting the new leather, I then place it in the position and shape it has in the original and then place the pattern on a roof material to make it smooth, strong, and durable.

I then use scissors again to cut it out for the sewing process.

Without wasting time, I carefully use my sewing machine to join each pattern together using the old leather as a point of reference. I make sure I sew it smoothly, and exactly how have I shaped it to bring out the new seat pattern?

Here is the finished seat cover. Now the seat cover is ready.

After sewing the seat cover, I then clip the newly sewn seat cover to the seat frame.

After clipping it together, I then covered them. Looking below, you can see the photos of it.

After clipping it completely, I then tightened the seat back, and here is the final product, and it looks fantastic.

I hope you love the finished product. Since it was just one, it did not take too much of my time. I used 5 hours to finish everything for the owner, and to my sincere surprise, he was very happy, telling me he was very satisfied with the finishing.

I hope you enjoy reading from me. I would love to hear from you through the comment box.
Thanks so much for stopping by; I really appreciate you. I'll see you all in my next publication.
