The Meeting

I have every reason to be happy despite the whooping defeat against Manchester United. This is the second time we have been beaten mercilessly this season. Still, I am happy. The right to be happy is in my jurisdiction, and I choose to be.

This time last week, I was far away for a wedding ceremony, it was a long drive but when it comes to a party, the body wakes up despite the tiredness. Today, I decided it gonna be sleep. I did sleep. Something happened in the sleep. Do I call it a dream? But it did happen.

Carrying a Gucci mini traveling bag, I boarded a flight to nowhere in particular. People of different images appeared there, in the plane. The hostess was serving snacks and drinks but I was snubbed. Like, I couldn't fight it. In my mind, I was a free border, so I don't deserve to share in the service.

Still, in awe of where I was heading, the plane landed. The inscription at the arrivals in the airport:

The Haven

First, I didn't fathom it. It looked like

Heaven

But then, I didn't stop walking. It was a beautiful place. The floor was shining crystal clear, reflecting my impression. While I was still reflecting, two giant men accosted me and asked me to follow them. One of them looked very familiar. So, I followed along. The other man wore dark glasses, I didn't bother to look for too long.

After a short walk, a large door opened automatically and we waited for the elevator. A bevy of ladies emerged from the huge elevator and dimple us a smile. Everything looked refreshing and promising.

As soon as we entered the elevator, the vibration from the take-off sent cold to my spine. It was like an electric current. I just dropped dead.

I saw my body on the bare floor of the elevator, my second image just stood akimbo, watching helplessly. When the elevator opened, they dragged my lifeless body into a huge living room and made it seat in a white chair facing a throne, then they left.

In seconds, a few men sat also waiting for a supposed king. I was beginning to regain consciousness but my second image was standing apart. It was like a miracle. I could hear myself talk with my second image. No one looked in the direction of the image.

A little man, whom I felt was the detail of the king, walked briskly to the throne, all other men stood in ovation of him, I had to join.

When he sunk into the throne, he looked like a baby but commanded a lot of authority. Then, he said:

That is the young man we want to sponsor.

He said, pointing at me.

I stood and took a bow like a gentleman I am.

This time, my second image is nowhere traceable.

He continued his speech but wasn't talking about anything reasonable as affecting what they want to sponsor me about. I'd waited for several moments but nothing was coming from that direction.

After the meeting in council, they served a large dining table and all went to eat. I was too scared to eat when I looked in their faces and saw that they looked like zombies. Then sweat covered my whole body in the air-conditioned apartment. I was so tense and uncomfortable.

Aren't you eating your food?

The little man queried.

As I tried to talk back in reply, the words weren't forming in my mouth. It seemed my mouth was frozen. I tried so hard and said:

I lost my appetite.

Maybe some dessert will do.

The little man said.

He had a face like an owl and his neck could turn 360°.

My courage began to build up as time passes but the food, I dare not eat. That perception of not eating must have come from the instinct I got from my parents of not to eat out.

It was here that my thoughts began to say this cannot be real. I turned to the left and then to the right, it was a sleep.
I woke up sweating, the blanket was soaked like I poured water in it. The power supply had been cut off hours ago.

😂😥I just woke up without boarding an airplane. Sleep is such a great travel.Taking us to world unknown without the traveling registration and restrictions.

This is a interesting take on the prompt, @mrenglish. A feast, but you do not partake. An adventure that is really a dream...maybe.

This was such an interesting read. Dreams are indeed journeys to the unknown. It takes us on experiences to the extent we could doubt reality.

Well done.

Make sure that you actually keep sleeping at that particular spot where you had this dream.

Wow. Do you always get so much detail for your dreams? That was some amazing dream you got there. I do have vivid dreams myself and I should write about them like you did.

Thanks for the inspiration.

I found you through @dreemport.
