Who Is Mr Hooke?? ___INTRO-POST

avatar

Hello there... If you are seeing this, pause for a moment and wish me luck as I begin my journey of a thousand miles on hive with the first big step being to introduce myself. My name is Mr hooke, actually my name is Bruno but very few people know me by that name. Ever since my highschool days, I've been going my the name hooke.

I'm crazy about Nick names. I always love to know the story behind every Nick name, I come across. Like when I see a person answering snow fish, it gets me wondering why this person has chosen the name. Was it forced on him, did he actually choose it, does he behave like a fish. Until I know the Origin behind a nick name, I'm never quite satisfied. So don't feel awkward if I ask for the origin of your nicks sometime in the future, probably when we become friends.

Anyways, let's talk about my name. If you hear the name hooke, you might think I'm related to the person that invented hooke's law. Well sorry to disappoint you, I know nothing about science. Actually initially it was Mr hook-up, but with time the 'up' faded. It all began in my highschool days. I was the oldest student in the school, because the school was owned by my mom so I started with the school right from the scratch till I left for college. Being the proprietor's son, I got some preferential treatment. It felt like the teachers thought If they treat me right, then I'll put in some good words about them to my mom. Little did they know that my mom never cared about my opinion when it comes to running her school.

However, I still got these preferential treatments and it gave me an edge over other students. Another thing I had that other students didn't have was access to any girl. Unlike other boys who have to speak big grammar and talk for hours, sometimes days before getting a girl's number. For me, All I have to do is walk up to the girl and say; "I'm the proprietor's son. I'll be needing your name and phone number to complete your registration." And boom, I've gotten her number, and from there other things follow. Others male students were really envious of this my secret weapon. Considering the fact that I wasn't stingy and I loved to share lol, I came up with a plan. Since I had the girls in my hands and on the other side was my guy friends, I decided to help my guys get any girl they wanted.

It was simple, all you have to do is sponsor me during lunch break, and I'll link you up with the girl. Being dedicated to my new found Job, I wouldn't just give you an audience with the girl, I'll message sure the girl ends up as your friend. If she tries to play hard-to-get, which is common with most girls, then I'll use the result trick on her. This is a trick where I tell you that I'll help you get good grades if you become friends with the guy. At the end of the day, she gets a good grade because she is smart, and not because I intervened lol. This became a really lucrative business for me, as I get to save my lunch money, and feed off other student's pocket. Some people might call this extortion, but I don't think it is, since I am giving you something in return lol. Hence came the name Mr Hook-up.

That is all over now, don't come to my dm asking me to hook you up with someone lol. Actually I thought the name would fade once I left high school, but then when you bear a nick name for close to seven years, it tends to replace your real name. Oops! I just realized my silly Hooke story have taken the major part of my introduction post, guess I should have talked about this on a separate post lol. That's all in the past now.

<LET'S TALK ABOUT THE PRESENT ME>

Back in school, most people said I'll probably end up as a teacher and become a proprietor like my Mom. I don't see myself walking that path. Right now, I'm just interested in technology, software, computers, programming and all that. That shit drives me crazy, how someone can write a command that makes things happen. If you have ever tried programming, you will agree with me that it makes you feel like a mini-god for some moment. As a graduate of computer science and currently enrolled on a programming academy, I intend to have some pretty cool technology to my name sometime in the future.

I have several ideas in my head already. It is true that Technology has taken a greater percentage of the world, but then there is still a lot of technology that could be introduced to the world. I would have shared some of ideas, but Dad always warned me about sharing my ideas in public, before some smart person's with enough resources steals the idea, actualize it and take the glory. I hope there is a community here on hive where I can talk with some amazing tech geeks. I'd love to learn a thing or two from the experts here.

Welcome to the Hive community @mrhooke!
We sincerely hope you find everything you are looking for and have found a new home here.

Seven suggestions to consider:

  1. Guard your passwords carefully, and only publish with the posting key,
  2. Use your active key only for wallet transactions, Keychain, Peaklock, and Hivesigner
  3. The owner password is only used to reset compromised passwords,
  4. DO NOT lose your passwords; copy and store offline,
  5. Do not publish other people's work, be it photos or written, without credit, and be sure to source all of your work, even if it is your own.
  6. An introduceyourself tag is used only once , and
  7. Do Not open any links in memos or comments that you do not know who they belong to. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, so the old saying goes. There is nothing free here.

I found you because @brittandjosie and @jamerussell from @heyhaveyamet presented and promoted your publication to get more exposure and help you grow faster.
