Good Friday

Good Friday was about Jesus Christ sacrificing his life to the people he loves. It was not a good day, maybe for someone who died on the cross for the sake of others. His unwavering love, to do his Father’s will – and it was his love for the sinners like me. Instead calling it a bad one of other names to call for someone who experienced torture, pain and being forsaken. It was Good Friday indeed, as a memento for what Jesus Christ did to the world.

Generations changed. The perspective of an individual differs. Even though some of us respected the day or the time risk his life to save us. We have no right to meddle in other people’s life in celebrating the day of Good Friday. Though, it’s okay to remind them but not to the point that we will be the one to decide what to do for others.

If you want to pray or repent on this day. That’s for you to decide but I didn’t mean I support those people who go for vacation during this day. I don’t want to talk about it more because I have my own way of understanding this special day and they have theirs as well. Even so, I’d still hope that they will not forget to spend time to pray and to repent.

Move on to the other side of the story during Good Friday. When I went to the town to buy food, the specific food was called “Benignit.” Most stores were closed and it’s hard to find the ingredients that might be needed in cooking. However, there were still stores that were opening. Maybe some went on a vacation or maybe saved this day for prayers or as a rest day. For me, I want to take a break from everything that is busying me like earning money.

Even though I didn’t go for a vacation. I want to save this day for Jesus Christ and for my family as well. I want to remind myself to worship God and never forget how thankful I am for what he did to us or to me.
