Just at the Street

Our place is near the mountain and near the sea. It's not an island but most towns and Brgy.s in southern Leyte Philippines located near the two beautiful spots. Before it's hard to believe because you could barely see the sea if you're in the street. Not like a mountain, it's easier since it's above that it's visible like it's along the sky. It's not that completely obvious but for starters, they will have an idea about the places.

#wdnesdaywalk by @tattoodjay and #makemesmile by @elizacheng, I missed participating in these two tags but due to my affected emotions after the typhoon, I decided not to join. How could I walk freely and smile when everything was like a dream. It's too painful that I refused to see reality but again there will always be an ending for everything. So now, here I am joining again, picking up the pieces and thinking that it should be left behind the emotions the typhoon created.

Before, if you're in the street in our place you couldn't clearly see the view of the sea but the typhoon Odette was so bad. She wiped all the trees that were standing here before and also, some tall houses fell like some fragile materials. Everything you could see before that would be obstacles in your eyes to see the sea is now gone. It's not good in my own opinion because there's no excitement for a clearer view from a distance.

The trees that had many leaves were like being trimmed. The branches were cut and even the tip above part of the trees was cut as well. For now, you can't see beautiful nature because they're currently growing.

I took a walk and thought of glimpsing the current situation we are having now. Houses are slowly building and plants or trees are desperately recovering. Thanks to 1 week of unending rainfall, plants are showing green leaves. I hope it continues and there will be no incidents like that.

ABOUT ME

Paul is the name but prefers to be called mrnightmare that feels like living in the dream. A country boy and a dreamboy (dreamer) who likes to stay in a small village even though it means abandoning the future to become a seaman. The passion is writing but not sailing in the vast ocean. Don't wonder if the face will not be shown, this is better where the words can flow smoothly. Come, you can tell me your stories and I'll tell you mine. Together, let's explore the world by broadening our thoughts. If you need a shoulder I can lean you mine and I hope I can lean yours. The world is fun when living is not being alone but with someone.

I understand that you do not feel good about this discouraging panorama; the important thing about this whole experience is that even with all the material and human losses, (which I really regret for you and your people), you can learn to survive and grow, as well as learn to value everything we have in our environment, as is the case of the trees, and the rain itself that is helping to recover them. I hope this reconstruction will be fast, smooth and effective. Greetings.

Yes, indeed life is more important than anybody else in this world. Though it's hard and painful seeing the current situation. Still thankful and just keep moving on because life still exists. Thanks

So sad to see the destruction brought upon the typhoon, I could never imagine how you feel because I never had to experience something like that, but that figure it must have been very traumatizing. I hope everything will turn out fine.
