Plastic Bottle Banderitas
Festives or festivals celebrate it in every country. Although, the way we celebrate it is not the same. Even so, when happiness, enjoyment, and entertainment might be almost the same. Well, it depends on a country's traditions I guess.
Maybe beautification and decoration are not new or we could say it's very common to see if we want to have an attractive place. By this, we could encourage people to come to that place; Visitors and residents there who are working far away. Because in the Philippines, when a festive or fiesta is celebrated in their home place most people who work far from there will go home to join the celebration.
Through the decorations, people could tell that this small village or Bgry. is celebrating their fiesta and not just a simple one but a grand one. People will learn immediately because from the time they step foot in that brgy. Banderitas will welcome them. Either it's well-made, just a plastic cellophane but colorful and plastic bottle just like this. It's very obvious that the people gave an effort to make sure they could use a different banderitas.
In my long years of experiencing and witnessing a fiesta, this banderitas caught my attention. They could just use colorful banderitas which are easier to do. Or they could use colorful clothing to simply cut it but no. They used a plastic bottle, colored it, and the others were cut into half and then cut the edge again to change its shape. When it was finished they hung it above using a plastic rope or commonly known as a straw tie.
They tied it higher to make sure a truck or a big vehicle could not reach it. But from what I noticed they only place banderitas like this that are not located on the national road. They placed it or hung it in the Brgy. road, well I told you why.
There is more to show but I didn't have much time when I was there. Of course, I will be showing other decorations next time.
