Tacloban City | Old Establishments

Who wouldn't want to go for a walk or just roam around in a new visited place? Seeing the environment seem new is a bit interesting to find out. Even though there's not much difference, it's still worth walking.

4 hours traveling from our place, finally arrived at Tacloban City. It's the Capital City of Region 8 in the Philippines. This is where the first civilization took place since it's like in the center. Near the Western region 8 or known as the province of Samar Leyte. That's why most government transactions before only could be found here. It's too much of a hassle because it's a bit far when processing papers here. Anyway, that was long ago but not now after some cities in our region are doing it now.

Hey, it's #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay and #makemesmile by @elizacheng. I had a great walk when I visited this city last weekend. It's not my first time being here but I didn't have the chance to roam around and see more of the beauty of the city. Then on Saturday, early morning I roamed around to search for a restaurant.

I thought I was lost because I didn't recognize this city yet. There were a lot of corners that I didn't know where it would lead me next. After seeing the old establishments that felt like they were built long ago. It caught my attention and motivated me to wander. Even the old establishments are still being used or they're operating. It's just amusing to see that despite their oldness, they're still functional.

Not just one but a lot of them that I made sure to capture every corner I passed on. It's early in the morning and the view wasn't blocked by vehicles or by crowded people. I tried my best to capture and expose the beauty of its surroundings.

Unfortunately, I can't name what kind of establishments they are since I'm not familiar with this place.

There are those universities but recognize it because of signages while the others seem to be commercial buildings. From what I saw outside or under it, selling goods or clothing made me think they were.

I had fun walking in this city because I always love to see old structures. It amazes me how they're being built even though there are a lot of beautiful new-style establishments these days. I could tell these types of establishments were old-fashioned because of the colors and designs.

Though I didn't have a clearer and closer look. I think it's pretty obvious even by far watching them. I'm not really sure but seeing their designs it's obvious that these establishments were influenced by Spanish long ago.

Those buildings standing today looks as if they were not battered with calamities. I can say that even if I am Leyteño Tacloban is strange to me. Let me tour Cebu di ko masaag pero sa Tac, hahha..saag ko..

I very much love the tuk-tuk style in the Philippines, the sidecar. The place looks beautiful, but is it usually this quiet, or do you think the new COVID variant has people back indoors again?

Ah, no, it's because it's early in the morning. I don't think the new variant reached our province yet but I hope it won't.
