Dazzling Whitewashed buildings with Moorish influences

Arcos is located in the province of Cadiz in Andalusia, southern Spain. We read about these pueblos blancos in Spain, and on our travels could see them in the distance from our car as they display a brilliant contrast to their surroundings and stand out on the hilltops. We stopped at Arcos, and after parking got turned around and walked to pretty much everything in Arcos except the old town. We finally figured out our mistake and did hike up to the town perched on top. What a spectacular view! This old part is built along the edge of a sheer cliff. I made several sketches in the narrow walkways and roads.
