Official entry for the #monomad challenge hosted by @monochromes and @brumest

How do I take photos so they come out like this with a black background? It’s a question I’m often asked—people wonder if I use a tarp for the background or edit them in Photoshop. Actually, none of that—it’s all natural light; let me tell you how I do it.

The first step is to envision the photos in black and white; not all of them work for this, so I already have a clear idea of what I want in my mind. Next, I head out to the woods or somewhere where I can find what I’m looking for.

When I find it, I adjust the camera settings: manual mode, close the aperture, and set the shutter speed.

The next step is to find the best angle by looking for the background with the deepest shadow—the deeper, the better. That way, as I adjust the settings, I end up with a clean, black background.

Sometimes there are flashes of light in the background; to get a better result, I play around with the aperture to let in a little more light and create some light halos.

And that’s how the images turn out; it’s a lot of fun, I’ll tell you.

So, are you up for giving it a try? Let’s get started. I’d love to see the results.

Entonces, ¿se aventuran a probarlo? Manos a la obra. Me encantará ver los resultados.

Shuter Speed, ISO, Aperture, Everything put creatively together and the results are really mind blowing. These are super beautiful and artistic. It takes a creative to tweak settings this comfortably

At first I found it complicated, but with practice it became much smoother, and I really enjoy it. Greetings and thank you very much for your comment.
