Hello #hive friends. Warm greetings to the #NeedleWorkMonday community. Happy Monday and start of the week. Today I am pleased to present the project of a restoration of a jeans fabric bag that I had in the dungeon for several years when there was a trend and I had that jeans of my husband a little faded, unsuitable for everyday use was taken out of the closet and went to my art room to transform it into a small bag that I never finished. Now with a little extra material I have transformed it into a more spacious one using a different fabric, its thin handles became wider, and I added other complementary accessories. This contest created by the wonderful #NeedlWorkMonday community has made me excited to finish this useful bag that will be used as a suitcase for trips to the countryside.

Hoy tengo el gusto de presentar el proyecto de una restauración de un bolso de tela jeans que tenía en las mazmorra por varios años cuando hubo una moda y tenia ese jeans de mi esposo un poco desteñido, inadecuado para uso diario se sacó del armario y fue a parar a mi cuarto de arte para transformarlo en un pequeño bolso que nunca terminé. Ahora con un poco de material extra lo he transformado en uno mas espacioso usando otra tela, sus asas finas pasaron a unas mas anchas, además le añadi otros accesorios complementarios. Este concurso ideado por la maravillosa comunidad #NeedleWorkMonday ha hecho que me entusiasme en terminar éste útil bolso que será usado como maleta para viajes al campo.

Materials// Materiales

• Previously made jeans fabric bag 25x50cms.
• 01 rectangle of 20x53cms of dark jeans fabric (Increase).
• 02 rectangles of 70x8cms dark jeans fabric (handles).
• 02 rectangles of 60x6cms green fabric (handles).
• 01 rectangle of 115x6cms green colored fabric (strip)
• 02 strip of 25cmsx2cms for faralao.
• 04 brown buttons.
• Silicone.
• 03 jeans flowers.
• Scissors.
• Sewing stitch remover.
• Tape measure.

• Bolso tela de jeans realizado anteriormente 25x50cms.
• 01 rectángulo de 20x53cms de tela jeans oscura (Aumento).
• 02 rectángulos de 70x8cms tela jeans oscura (Asas).
• 02 rectángulos de 60x6cms tela color verde (Asas).
• 01 rectángulo de 115x6cms tela color verde (tira)
• 02 tira de 25cmsx2cms para faralao.
• 04 botones color marrón.
• Silicón.
• 03 flores de jeans.
• Tijera.
• Descosedor de costura.
• Cinta métrica.

Process//Proceso

• Using the seam ripper, the back of the bag is unpicked.
• The handles are unraveled.

• Usando el desbaratador de costura se descose la parte posterior del bolso.
• Se desbarata las asas.

• Measure the dark jeans fabric and cut a rectangle of 20x53cms.
• Fold that rectangle and sew the ends together.
• This piece is sewn around the back of the bag to increase the size.

• Se mide la tela de jeans oscura y se corta un rectángulo de 20x53cms.
• Se dobla ese rectángulo y se cosen los extremos.
• Esta pieza se cose alrededor de la parte posterior del bolso para aumentar el tamaño.

• Cut rectangles (2) 70x8cms of jeans fabric.
• Cut the rectangles (2)60x6cms green fabric.
• Sew one on top of the other (2) handles.

• Se cortan los rectángulos (2)70x8cms tela jeans.
• Se cortan los rectángulos (2)60x6cms tela verde.
• Se cosen uno sobre otro (2) asas.

• I made three flowers with 5 petals of denim with buttons for embellishment.

• Hice tres flores con 5 pétalos de tela jeans con botones para adornar.

Aseembly//Ensamblado

• We have ready the handles, the strip and faralao.

• Tenemos listas las asas, la tira y faralao.

• Se pega en cada bolsillo los faralaos.

• Sew the handles on each flap.
• Sew the flowers on the left side of the front.

• Se cosen las asas en cada tapa.
• Se cosen las flores en la parte izquierda del frente.

• It is observed that it was larger and can contain more luggage for its wide handles and the best thing is that the material is washable, durable for being recycled fabric will have a lifetime of use. • Se observa que quedó de mayor tamaño y podrá contener mayor equipaje por sus asas anchas y lo mejor es que el material es lavable, duradero por ser tela reciclada tendrá un periodo de vida de uso. Es extraordinario dar otra segunda oportunidad, No a la basura, por un mejor ambiente y planeta🌏 .

I am very happy to finish project number 6, after fixing the sewing machine, because in the previous job the stitching got out of control due to the bobbin coming out of the socket. Yesterday I proceeded to disassemble the bobbin case very carefully by loosening the screws, put the bobbin back in and very slowly tightened the screws to get the stitching point calibration. I then proceeded to stitch all the necessary parts satisfactorily. Thank God🙏 I had the desired success..

Estoy muy feliz de culminar el proyecto número 6, después de arreglar la máquina de coser, porque en el anterior trabajo se descontroló la costura debido a que la bobina se salió del encaje. Ayer procedí a desarmar la caja de bobina con mucho cuidado aflojando los tornillos, volví a meter la bobina y muy lentamente apreté los tornillos para obtener la calibración del punto de cosido. Luego procedí a coser todas las partes necesarias satisfactoriamente. Gracias a Dios🙏 tuve el exito deseado.
