June: Clock that tells the time⌚ //Reloj que marcan las horas⌚

⌚⌚Welcome to my blog//Bienvenido a mi blogg⌚⌚
Hello, #hive-collectors community. I hope you’re all having a great week. Today I’m pleased to participate in the June initiative, which is all about clocks. This is a contribution to @mipiano.
A clock is an instrument for measuring time; they can be wind-up, wristwatches, or battery-powered. The earliest ones used sand, then hands, and now a combination of digital displays with hands or just digital displays. There are many designs; these are Japanese, with Roman numerals, while others have only hands, without numbers.

When I was a little girl, I dreamed of having a watch until my parents gave me one when I turned 12. I was so happy back then—it was a wind-up Lanco. It was a little big, but that didn’t matter; I was thrilled with that gift. After wearing it for several years, the mainspring broke. I still have it, as a keepsake.

Later, I had a Seiko with an automatic movement. Back then, wearing a watch was a very important accessory and extremely useful for making sure I didn’t miss classes or any other activities. We’ve always had an alarm clock and several wall clocks at home.

All of the watches I'm showing you here are mine. Some of my sisters had thrown them away, but I changed the batteries in a few of them and they started working again.

I stopped wearing a wristwatch in 2000 because some guy stole my Casio at knifepoint. I haven't worn a watch since then. It seemed like it would be a hassle, but by checking the clock on the wall, my friends' watches, and then my cell phone—and now my laptop—I can keep track of time and get everything done without wearing a wristwatch. Plus, the batteries in those things don't last at all.
Now I have my mom's Casio; it's a nice keepsake. They put a new battery in it, and it worked for less than a year. I also made a macramé strap for it.The digital watch belonged to my son when he was a child, and the Renos is in good condition; I wear it on special occasions.

We have three wall clocks at home, and my husband always fixes them when the hands run slow. So far, he’s been patient.

These are currently displayed on the shelves and bookcases. I didn't have time to find my husband's and my daughter's, so I'll show them another day.

It was a pleasure to share my modest watch collection. I hope everyone in the #Hive-Collectors community enjoyed it, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Oh no, that must have been an awful experience when someone used a knife to steal your wrist watch 😳. I am sorry to hear you went through that.
And thank you for bringing your collection, my favourite is the Seiko watch ⌚️ 😀
It was really traumatic; I was scared for several months 😨. It was a pleasure to contribute 😍👍. See you soon.
I'm so sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience with that person and the knife, but karma always catches up with you sooner or later.
I liked your two Seiko watches, the Swiss Lanco and the quartz Sevil, for their design and those striking Roman numerals. Greetings from Havana.
Greeting👍. Thanks 😍!
