The "Grill" on a motorcycle is a metal piece made with cylindrical tubes with a rectangular shape that is installed on the back of a motorcycle, its main function is to hold an "extra load" in order to transport heavy objects and not carry them by hand when traveling or carrying out nearby errands, thus being more comfortable when maneuvering and driving a motorcycle.

In a previous couple of months in an afternoon, I lent my motorcycle to my brother-in-law and he was using it all day and night, the next day when I woke up in the morning, I realized that the motorcycle had the "Grill" broken to the side and when running the motorcycle, it is towards an annoying noise due to the vibration of the motorcycle, so I decided to buy a new "Grill", the previous one I took it off in previous days regarding this post.

- There are multiple models of "grills" for motorcycle type vehicles, but when we talk about a STANDARD motorcycle, with low cylinder capacity, the model would not change much, it is even almost the same in the way of inserting and tightening the nuts and bolts.

HERRAMIENTAS UTILIZADAS // USED TOOLS:
Herramientas.png

a) Tornillos de aproximadamente 10 CM de largos.

b) Llaves inglesas.

a) Screws approximately 10 CM long.

b) Wrenches.

Note: Regarding the use of the keys and screws, you have to make sure that the screw that you are going to use to place the "Grill" fits inside the side cylinders that fit them and according to the number of the screw is that will use their respective wrench:

dasasasas.jpg

- First of all, we must first begin to remove the cushion from the motorcycle, since it gets in the way a bit when placing the side screws of the "Grill".

IMG_20210907_151845.jpg

IMG_20210907_151944.jpg

Note: In this case I used the tool called rache because it made me more comfortable, just as if you don't have it, you can use normal wrenches.
  • Retiramos nuestro cojín.
  • We remove our cushion.

IMG_20210907_152217.jpg

  • Later we focus on the screws that are tightening the rear shock absorbers and loosen a little on both sides.

IMG_20210907_151241.jpg

  • then we take the "Grill" and we are introducing little by little until both ends are fastened in the screws that go in the shock absorbers and the cylinder that ends up in the hole where the screws that will hold them in both parts will pass, as shown in continuation in the next photo:

IMG_20210907_152236.jpg

IMG_20210907_152244.jpg

  • First, we tighten the screws that go into the rear shocks.

IMG_20210907_152358.jpg

IMG_20210907_152434.jpg

  • Then it comes to place and tighten the side screws a little hard since these are the ones that hold the weight to the "Grill".

IMG_20210907_153225.jpg

  • The work has already been done ... It would only be necessary to put the cushion and place its screws.

As you can see, the bike is a bit dirty ... Once I had finished the job, I had started to wash the bike and it was spectacularly clean, but it's a pity that I couldn't take a picture of it.

Me alegra hayas pordido resolverlo.
