Is essential to prepare for what is to come!

¡Saludos jugadores!

Greetings Splinterlands players! On the last Townhall left a lot of amazing and very important news for us and after having read carefully the summary post I have realized that very soon, there will be a lot of things that are going to change and quite a lot. Some of them are going to be really determinant for the meta so it's not something you should overlook if your plan is to keep playing Splinterlands, let's give you an analysis of those news and my opinions about it, plus I show you what I intend to do from now on, in case you want to take it as a suggestion, so welcome.

Security changes.

This is the first thing that appears in the summary of the Townhall but I think this is very important from the entrance. Now you can add an email account (or change one you have added) that will serve as a means of recovery for your account in case of losing it and also as a new security step, and just for this alone this update is a marvel, but on the other hand I think this will give a new face to the possibility of selling game accounts.

Improvements in loading speed.

The game devs have updated the way the market is updated and show to the players on the screen to optimize the loading and make it faster, what I still don't know is if this will improve the performance of third party applications like Peakmonsters and I have not found information to corroborate or deny it, so for now this for me is still a bit unnecessary, because the game market is quite limited compared to other options.

SPS Staking!

This must be the announcement that has generated more opinions and the one that seems to me the most important of all for the future, and is that the Colection Power is going to be replaced by the SPS stake in your account, but... What does this mean?

The main thing is that now, in addition to owning cards to get rewards you must have SPS in your account, the table that has been released in the post is as follows:

Of course, the rating on your battles will still be necessary to play the games and advance in the leaderboard. This is combined with SPS delegations so in a way it won't be mandatory to buy SPS and then send it to stake in order to advance in the league.

  • I think a positive point about this new actualization is that it will give more utility to the SPS in the long term and also to the possession of powerful cards for your league, plus I also think it will allow new players to plan better for their game depending on the amount of money with which they start playing, and finally that they have not eliminated the possibility of not having to spend much more than $20 to start collecting your SPS.

  • I also think that a negative point about this new update on Splinterlands is that it begins to create an imaginary and very thin line between forcing and incentivizing players to do something inside the game, plus it sets a pretty high bar on my opinion, a player who wants to enter the game tomorrow and start from the top in Champions league must invest at least $ 7000 in SPS to stake them in your account, plus the cards to play, and I think it's a bit exaggerated in general for all levels, so I think they do this thinking just to make players take it easy and go long term almost obligatorily.

Of course it is well known that there are many different ways to earn money with Splinterlands and this is just one of them, but the fact that it has to do so directly with the game itself leaves me with my opinions divided, I do not end up leaning towards one side of the scale, I guess that over time, new data and when you start to see the real operation of this will be able to draw a more accurate conclusion. For now it doesn't seem like a bad thing to me, but not a good thing either.

Changes for guilds.

Among other things, new buildings were announced to enter the game, as well as the possibility of recovering a large part of the contributions you have given to a clan, something spectacular if you are in a clan that no longer has activity. What I wonder is if this will be so from the time of the update or for all existing clans since they were created, I did not find that answer.

Another point that caught my attention was the announcement of new ''cosmetic benefits'', maybe new NFTs for clans and their members? That has me with a lot of hype.

Plans for the future.

Good or bad, and like them or not, all these changes will come to the game and if you want to stay in Splinterlands you must adapt to them and evolve your ways of play. I personally think all these changes are more of a benefit than a detriment for us. Right now I have almost 549 SPS in stake on my account, with what I could play in Bronze I, also with 600 SPS I will be able to play the Splinterlands tournaments of this level so my plan from here until this update is released is to build my deck at Bronze I level to play my games with my own cards, and from there to grow my SPS stake to grow to higher stages in an organic way.

This has been all my post for now, but I will be happy to read your opinions about these new changes that are coming, see you in the next post.
