hello guys
How is your day?
You know, I've had extremely busy days, this time is the days near Tet so the work becomes a lot and very busy. Usually, I will have to work all day, with no time off. These days, I have to help my mother sell Tet goods, including things like shoes, clothes, and sweets because the culture of my country is Tet must be entirely purchased, replaced with many new things, and usually on Tet holiday. It is also an opportunity for children to return home from working away from home. On that opportunity, they will buy their parents and siblings new clothes and new shoes to show their filial piety.
Well, today I want to take you to visit the Tet market scene in my hometown.

Tet markets often take place in district markets, and small traders like my mother will take advantage of many goods to consume during this Tet. This Tet holiday is considered a golden season for merchants like our mother. but that's not why we push the price higher than usual, we keep the same price daily. The difference is that this occasion, is the occasion when the family buys things, and the house buys new stuff, so we will sell a lot of goods, even if there are poor families, they will also try to save money during Tet. give their children new shoes, and new clothes. such gifts are also considered gifts in a year that parents want to give their children.

A special feature of today's market is that this day is called Tet Ong Cong and Ong Tao ( Kitchen guardians). People will have a movement to buy golden carp to release the river, release the animals, and with the concept that those fish will carry the gods called the Ong Cong, Ong Tao to heaven. That's why the market today is quite busy and there are many lovely fish pots for sale.

It's alway interesting to go to the market for Tet holiday, I always find something interesting people never sell in normal days. And I love that atmosphere, especially in the countryside.

In my District at Kota Kinabalu Sabah. We usually have a night market for 2 days before the days of Lunar New Year. I like to go there but just last year when the restriction of social distancing just been lift off, it's too crowded to visit the night market. 😅
