Greetings.

I'm back with another post about Days Gone and this is Episode Six where I'll talk about a single chapter of this game in this post.

Here's my gameplay that I published on my YouTube channel.

Clear out those nests

After taking out the camp peoples in O'Leary mountain, Deacon was talking to Boozer through comms about his whereabouts and there were still freakers walking around.

Suddenly Copeland connected through and saying there was a man at their camp who shot the place up and then just took off. Copeland wants him alive and its on me to bring that man to Copeland but I don't feel like doing that right away, rather I'd start working on something else.

I took out some freakers on the way and then I went to my bike.

There was this place that looked good and so silent inside and I felt like going inside so I did. I went inside and checked if I can get anything precious there. And then I left the place after some moment

Then I opened the map where I could see some missions and I selected this mission where I need to clear out some nests in a camp full of freakers.

The location was not far and I reached there in a very short time and there came some freakers at first sight and I tried to kill them undetected as I wished to reduce casualty.

Now I started destroying these nests and right after I destroyed the first nest, I hided in a tiny hut before the freakers comes out of the nest so that they don't start attacking me all at once.

Screenshot (11).png

Then I've found another nest that took over a whole house and I destroyed it as well and I liked the idea of hiding myself after destroying a nest as there comes multiple freakers out of a nest that's harder to take down at once as they keep attacking all at once.

I hided in a house nearby after destroying the above nest and I even closed the door so that the freakers don't see me but I could see them running away when the nest is on fire.

Screenshot (12).png

Then I kept looking for more nests when I had to go through a lot of freakers and enjoyed taking them out silently from behind but I was noticed by two freakers at a time and I find it difficult fighting multiples at once.

Then I've found a big building and there were four nests inside this one building. So I was making up plans about which one should be destroyed first so I destroyed one first that was held back a door to a room upstairs so that I can go there and hide after I destroy other nests.

Screenshot (13).png

This is the door I'm talking about that took me upstairs and I destroyed that nest that you're withing on fire from here and I have place to hide here in this room as well.

I even used a pipe bomb on freakers and killed them that felt real good.

Screenshot (15).png

Then there was this last nest that I destroyed and I escaped that place immediately and even after that, freakers followed me to my hiding place so I had to fight some of them.

I had to destroy a total of six nests and this place is a lot safer now after destroying those nests.

Screenshot (16).png

Mission completed with 100% completion.

Storyline updated. He's my Brother 29%, where I had to keep Boozer alive as the goal.

How do you like me narrating of the gameplay?
If you like it, feel free to like, comment & share. I will soon come with another post writing what happens next.

I really like this concept of going around destroying the infected's nests. It really shows a very organic system to the monster dilemma here -- they're acting very biological by concentrating at certain points and spreading like the virus inside of them. It's also cool to see such a bright, easy-to-read map, and that your weapons are visible on your back to remind you what tools you have. Can't imagine what it's like to battle a swarming mob of these creatures.

Once I fell in a group of these creatures and my character Deacon died in a short time.

I liked this game for a while but there was one element of the gameplay that kept me from "loving" this game and eventually lead to me stopping playing it altogether: The fuel on the motorcycle.

I don't think you need to know a great deal about motorcycles to realize that there is no bike on the planet that is going to burn through an entire tank of gasoline in a 10 mile journey yet this is a very common thing in this game. I realize that the idea was to force you to stop and scrounge for gasoline but I really could have done without that side of things. It just became tiresome after a while

I did enjoy clearing out nests though... that was basically my favorite thing to do

Hi thanks for your comment.

I haven't been in a bad situation for the gasoline yet so I don't understand the pain to be honest.
But I thought about it.
I thought about going sight seeing on those big mountains and then I remember that I'll be out of gasoline soon.

They could at least give the ability to carry a gasoline can which shouldn't be a hard job.

it's still an amazing game and one of my favorites from a conceptual point of view as far as the zombie genre is concerned. There is just no bike on the planet that consumes gasoline that fast! :P
