The Komoda Haiku - Ghost of Tsushima.

While I was near Wolf Cub Falls, a golden bird led me to the Komoda Haiku spot. Sitting down to reflect on defeat, I composed lines focused on mental stillness, a fallen warrior's rebirth, and rising from the depths. Completing the verse rewarded me with the Headband of Defeat.

While exploring the lush area around Wolf Cub, a chirping bird suddenly caught my attention, fluttering nearby as if trying to guide me toward a hidden location.

Choosing to follow the birdie, I trailed its flight until it led me directly to the peaceful sanctuary of a Haiku spot.

I dismounted my horse and sat upon the mat to compose the verse, centering my thoughts on the theme of reflecting on defeat.

For the opening line, I surveyed the landscape and chose to focus on the "stillness of one's mind" over the options for heart or strength.

Moving to the second line, I pondered the path of the samurai and selected "a warrior's fall birthed anew," passing over the lone pebble imagery.

For the final stanza, I looked out toward the water and chose "rising from the depths" to complete the sequence with a spirit of endurance.

With all three lines chosen, the complete poem came together:

Stillness of one's mind,
Warrior's fall birthed anew,
Rising from the depths.

The poetic reflection concluded, rewarded me with the Headband of Defeat to add to my gear collection before I stood up to resume my journey.
