The Past Never Passes - Ghost of Tsushima.

I met Sensei Ishikawa at his dojo to strategize defenses against Tomoe before scouting high ridges and racing toward the coastal road. After surviving a Mongol ambush where the sensei joined the fray, we pushed to a heavily guarded bridge, and started clearing out hostile archers and melee troops.

Sensei Ishikawa's traitorous former student, Tomoe, was training Mongol archers in Hiyoshi Springs. We stopped some from brutalizing a small settlement, but Tomoe was still out there, so I met Ishikawa at his dojo to plan our next move while our next mission began.

After telling me about how travelers had been shot dead on the roads in and out of Hiyoshi Springs, Ishikawa wanted to know about my vision. He asked me where we should put archers around the Springs, and I had to check on some spots. Ishikawa agreed with the road south running along a high ridge, which would be a perfect place to rain down arrows.

Well, after checking the perimeter, I had to race the coastal road along with Ishikawa, but this time I did not have to be bound on following him. So I did the run on my own until we reached this waterfall site, where we stopped to check the beautiful surroundings.

Then it looked like we still had a long way to go. So we kept on moving while Jin was asking Ishikawa what else he did teach Tomoe, and Ishikawa mentioned he held back nothing.

While we were heading toward the coastal road, we had to keep an eye out for Mongols, and we found some on our way, where I went for a standoff before engaging them in a brutal fight.

It looked like Ishikawa was not just watching me fighting from afar this time, as he also joined the fray. But I was doing the most work, and at last, I took down all the Mongols to clear the path.

After defeating those Mongols, we had to reach the bridge near the coast. Ishikawa was mentioning on the run that Tomoe was a traitor because the Mongols offered power, wealth, and status, meaning she had thrown everything away at the cost of innocent lives.
At last, we reached the bridge.

It looked like the bridge was also guarded by Mongols that we had to defeat. I started shooting them with arrows, but some came close for a melee battle, forcing me to switch to my sword.

While I was taking care of the Mongols around, I also kept an eye on the archers on the other side of the cliff. Then I kicked this last Mongol out of the cliff, and he died from the long fall down.

Ishikawa said he taught Tomoe everything he knew. After all these things happened, does he still believe she could have become a great warrior?
I think part of him still does. That's what makes his feelings toward Tomoe so complicated.
That race along the coast was a nice break before everything turned into another fight. The sceneries looked incredible. I especially like the realism of the bamboo forest.
The bamboo forest was easily one of my favorite parts as well.
The waterfall stop was such a peaceful moment. Ghost of Tsushima always found a way to sneak beautiful views into the middle of dangerous missions. And that cliff kick was the perfect finish/pause of the post.
The waterfall was definitely worth taking a moment to appreciate.
