I learned from Sensei Ishikawa that his former student Tomoe sided with the Mongols, prompting a new quest to track her down. After scouting an archery range and surviving a surprise Mongol ambush alone as a test, we followed a trail of footprints to a village where captured innocents were held.

Sensei Ishikawa and I learned that his former student Tomoe had sided with the Mongols. He asked me to meet him at his dojo so we could continue the hunt to track her down, so I fast traveled to his dojo to begin.

After our meeting, Ishikawa asked Jin if he was ready to chase Tomoe, mentioning she was fearless, not a samurai, but a born killer. Right after that conversation, a new quest began to unfold.

I had to follow Ishikawa toward an archery range because a local saw Mongols training there. After reaching the vicinity, Ishikawa asked me to climb up a hill to get a better vantage point.

After I climbed up the hill, I waited for the sensei, but he was not below. Instead, I found he tried a footway to get there, and he mentioned he said I had to climb, not him.

Mentioning climbing up was a good exercise, Ishikawa started checking around the area and found arrows of both Mongol and Japanese origin. He mentioned they might pick up their trail by the practice target.

The sensei then asked me to find out where they went, so I charged ahead into the target range to investigate further.

Following his lead, I discovered a severed head that was used for target practice on the range, revealing the brutality of the enemy.

Suddenly, a group of Mongols came forward from the tower to attack me. When Jin got surprised seeing them, I had to defeat them all, even though Jin was asking for the sensei's help and Ishikawa was not joining in the battle.

After defeating all the Mongols, I had to speak with the sensei. He mentioned he was observing Jin's response to an ambush, admitting he knew those Mongols were still there and stating he would test Jin as he saw fit.

Well, we picked up the Mongols trail as we found some fresh footprints. After following the footprints for some time, we reached this village where we found some dead bodies around, and then we found some Mongols who had some innocent people captured while practicing what Tomoe taught them.
