In Tokyo, the Tokyo Skytree is one of the recommended places to visit. The place is simply for the views. It's the tallest tower in Japan and considered to be the third tallest structure in the world. Honestly I am not sure if this is true or not. The structure is 634 meters tall, feels like almost in clouds. On a clear day the view below is amazing.

I had booked the timed entry in advance. Good, I had done that because when I reached there, it was a long queue. During my visit to Japan, I had almost booked all attractions tickets in advance, because I had read that everywhere there are long queues and that's right. If I would have not booked, I would have spent a lot of time standing in queues at all places. But then booking in advance there is always a risk. There are some places where there are cancellation charges and some do not offer any refund, so it's risk vs comfort.

There are two decks to visit and the ticket is also priced accordingly. If you wish to visit the higher deck, there is an extra charge. I had bought for both the decks. It is one time visit for me, so might as well see all of it. In less than a minute the lift took us to the first deck at 350 meters. Everything suddenly looked so small from up there.

After spending some time on the first deck, we moved to the second one. The different thing about this place is that it's not a flat deck. It's a spiraling glass corridor that slopes upward around the tower. The Sorakara Point is the tower's highest point.
