Living in Middle East

Living in Middle East is all together a very different experience of life. I always tell my hubby that life is very shallow in this place. Everything is good and glamorous. If you have been born and brought up here and never ventured out anywhere in the world, you will never know what can be a hardship in life. There is no poverty, you never see any beggars on the road, all around you there will be fancy things, best roads to drive on, super comfortable lifestyle.

The local population of Middle East is very less, and hence all these places have opened up inviting people from all over the world to come and work with them and that's how their economies is surviving. Middle East has good amount of Oil reserves and that's what makes them the richer Countries of the world. 1 Kuwaiti Dinar is equal to 3,25 USD and 1 Omani Rial is 2.60 USD, that's the weightage of the currency. Dirham has a lower value in comparison, but not to underestimate its power. In the whole of Middle East region UAE is one of the most advancing Country, especially Dubai. The second is Qatar, where they are also rapidly advancing. Qatar hosted the FIFA World cup 2022. Such a small Country with a population of 2.6 million and a size of 11500 sq km area, yet they did what everyone thought was impossible for a Middle East country.

Oman has been comparatively slow but it still offers a very good lifestyle to its people. When I travel back to India, for the first couple of days I always feel a little hassled up. The roads, the traffic jams, everywhere crowd, poverty, beggars, corruption, it all kind of makes me realize how comfortable life is back here in Oman. Everything is easily available and the quality of life is much better. But then as I mentioned in the beginning one never really experiences life here. It's all too good. People do not pay any tax here on their income and yet they enjoy all the facilities like good infrastructure and medical facilities provided by the government. Last year in Oman they introduced 5% Vat on certain goods and services and people made so much noise over it. Imagine in other parts of the world people pay tax as huge as 40% from their incomes. In Oman we do not have any tolls on any of the roads in the Country, Parking is available freely. When people come here, they get amazed. UAE has some difference on these things. The cost of living there is much higher than in Oman and Qatar or other regions of middle east.

This good life is just not with the middle class and higher income group. They do have a better edge, but even the lower income people have considerably a much decent life then what they would have in another parts of the world doing the same job.

UAE has been whole heartedly inviting people to come and invest in their Country. They have opened up completely for Crypto investors. So many people across the world are selling of their assets and moving their base to Dubai because of this openness and moreover no Tax.

Sooner or later Middle East will also bring in Tax on income, it may take some years but it is inevitable as their oil reserves goes down, they will have to have other sources to generate revenue for their economy. But still living here is peaceful. You also know that in return you get a good quality life.

There are pros and cons to living in this region but on a larger scale people do benefit living here, even if it's for a couple of years.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

The Middle East is mostly a world of comfortable luxury. I've also read about their non taxation on income and how many businesses and individuals are taking advantage of it by moving there permanently. In contrast to the rest of the world, the Middle East is a paradise. I think as someone who's new to life, the cons will probably outweigh the pros. But for someone who has much experience with life, the pros can outweigh the cons.

Middle East life can lure you, but what people forget is that it is never permanent and some or the other day they have to move back to their homes, so if they have not saved enough then it's a trouble

Yes yes! There's work to do at paradise. Not forgetting the big picture when surrounded by the luxury is a great way to come out on top in the end. Things wouldn't indeed be like that forever.

I've been to Dubai a few times. The entire city is super artificial and looks like a huge mall of shops/buildings/cultures from around the world. I've been to a couple of conferences for medical professionals and I started counting the clinics for diabetes and that's a direct reflection of the lifestyle. Furthermore, I'll never forget all those working in constructions, on top of buildings at 45+ degrees. All these workers come from India and Pakistan. It's a bizarre place and you know it best as you live there while you're also exposed to life in India.

Dubai is a concrete jungle. And it's true that there is a big contrast in lifestyle there, while people earn good money, there's lots at stake also. Thankfully Oman is moderate in every way when it comes to living in this place. In the whole of Middle East that's a fact that there are more hospitals then schools or any other institution.
