A late post from one of my visit to the Dam.
The Wadi Dayqah Dam is one of the biggest Dam in Oman and twice in a year it releases water, which is in the month of May and October. This time I had decided that I would go to see the dam during the water release period. Honestly till date I have not seen this process of any Dam releasing the water and I wanted to see it. Every time I have been missing this and this time also, I thought I will miss it. Hubby was not very keen to go so he was prolonging it. On the last day I forced him to visit the place. We left mid afternoon and reached there before the sunset.
It was so much close in time. On reaching the Dam, hardly we had spent half an hour, I had clicked some pictures by then and taken some videos also and then the water stopped. I was thinking to myself, just half an hour delay and I would have missed it.
It was nothing very special, but just that I wanted to see this process once made it all exciting for me. Yet the scenery was very nice, The water flowing into the wadis and giving the blue color blending with the green palm trees was a feast for the eyes. It was looking very pretty. On one side the sunset and on the other side the view of the water streams all gave a very pleasant effect.
I love this view. The palm trees have covered up the full land and the blue water streams running along the way gives a charm to this whole place.

The scenery is indeed spectacular, great view of the area and its immediate surroundings. I didn't knew dams release water during certain times of the year. Now, I also want to experience it first hand with this post as a reference :)
I am not sure about the other dams, but here this one has a cycle. Indeed the surroundings look spectacular

I have never seen a dam, this one looks beautiful and also very large.
It's a huge one, but here the water level never rises since there are no rains

It's an interesting place to see. Some of the dams around the world have water flowing at most times because it rains in those parts but here it does not rain so it's seen dry almost all the time except for these few days
