Yesterday I wrote about the completion of the Ganesh Chaturthi 5 days rituals at my home. It was all so beautiful and after the wonderful 5 days celebration my home has gone empty and quiet. It does not feel good but then that's how it is. I have to wait for one more year to do this all over again.

Today I will like to share some pictures of our celebrations where my friends were all home to join us in the festivities. It was total madness. One cannot imagine sometimes how crazily we Indians celebrate these festivals.

We started the evening with aarti, which is a normal ritual and then everyone took the blessings of Bappa. There is so much of sweet offerings on these days to Bappa that honestly sometimes I do not know what to do with them. I distribute it to whoever I can.

We danced with joy in the celebrations. Everyone was in high energy mode, there was a lot of exhaustion that I was feeling and yet there was much more energy also to celebrate.

Once all the singing, dancing and rituals were done then it is time for the idol immersion, which we normally call it as Bappa's Visarja. Before that we move the idol in the full home to bless the home with his blessings. Flowers are adorned on him during this time.

For the immersion, I have already kept the bucket ready with some flower petals and water in it. The idol is made of natural clay, which will melt and then I will put that water mixed with clay in all my plants at home. I do it over 2 to 3 days time, and that's how the closure happens.

Within 15 minutes the idol completely dissolved in the water.

And that's how my 5 days Ganesh Chaturthi festival came to an end. Such a wonderful spiritual time I had filled with love, blessings, fun, laughter, food, maddness and so much more.
