In Oman it is decent, but everything is at the hospital, you cannot get a home service, nor are there independent Doctor clinics. There is no waiting period at the hospital, which is a good thing. For expats majority of the companies cover their medical, so it does not put any burden on us, we have to present the card at the hospital, there is a very nominal initial fee and then the rest is taken care by the Insurance. Which comes actually as a blessing for us. For the locals, the government takes care of their medical, so for them also it is not a burden. Only some private hospitals you have to pay, but those can be easily avoided.
