Being a model for one day [Eng/Esp]

A couple of weeks ago I asked a friend to help me to do a photo shoot on location, because honestly doing it myself was going to be very complicated, plus I thought it would be an excellent exercise for her too, since she really likes the world of photography, so it would be a win-win situation for both of us, I would get my pictures and she would get knowledge to improve and discover what she likes the most about this beautiful world of photography, so we agreed on a day (I had to help another friend, but that was not a problem) and we did it.

Hace un par de semanas le pedí ayuda a una amiga para que me hiciera una sesión fotográfica en exteriores, porque honestamente hacerlo yo mismo iba a ser muy complicado, además que me parecía un excelente ejercicio para ella también, ya que le gusta mucho el mundo de la fotografía, por lo que sería ganar para los dos, yo obtendría mis fotografías y ella conocimiento para ir mejorando y descubrir qué es lo que más le gusta en cuanto a este hermoso mundo de la fotografía, por lo que acordamos un día (que justo debía ayudar yo a otra amiga, pero eso no fue problema) y lo hicimos.

I must be very honest, I don't feel comfortable as a model, I would say that it's quite complicated to be in front of the camera when most of the time you are behind the camera and it's that someone else is directing you, changing in different angles and shooting several photos without you yourself being aware of whether you really like them is something complicated, but as my friend was telling me what to do, I began to relax a little more and just start to enjoy the experience, because although I have done self-portraits myself, someone else to do it for you is strange, but entertaining.

Debo ser muy honesto, no me siento cómodo como modelo, diría que es bastante complicado estar delante de la cámara cuando en la mayoría del tiempo te encuentras detrás de la cámara y es que, que otra persona te vaya dirigiendo, se cambie en diferentes ángulos y vaya disparando varias fotos sin que tú mismo seas consciente de sí realmente te gustan es algo complicado, pero a medida que mi amiga me iba diciendo qué hacer, empecé a relajarme un poco más y simplemente empezar a disfrutar de la experiencia, porque si bien me he hecho autorretratos yo mismo, que alguien más lo haga por ti es extraño, pero entretenido.

Of course I should also mention that this session was intended to celebrate my year at Hive, to which I made a post fully dedicated to that telling my experience, but then I ended up editing some more pictures and I thought it would be a good idea to share them here. To be honest, when editing my own photographs it's complicated, because I tend to distort a bit and think that everything is wrong, so, after editing I take a breath, clear my eyes and then try to see again the photograph to know what it lacks or what it lacks, it's a good practice to be more aware of what I do.

Por supuesto que también debo mencionar que esta sesión era con intención de celebrar mi año en Hive, a lo que hice una publicación dedicada plenamente a eso contando mi experiencia, pero luego terminé editando algunas fotografías más y pensé que sería buena idea compartirlas por aquí. Siendo honesto, al momento de editar mis propias fotografías es complicado, porque tiendo a distorsionar un poco y pensar que todo está mal, por lo que, luego de editar me tomo un respiro, despejo la vista y luego intento ver nuevamente la fotografía para saber qué le hace falta o qué le sobra, es una buena práctica para ser más consciente de lo que hago.

I must say I'm not the best model, we're still in the middle of learning this, but I'm encouraged to keep trying, it's not bad sometimes to be in front of the camera.
