This K-drama released on November 18, 2022 is a South Korean production that, like others, is based on a Webtoon released in 2018. Here we will find a diverse story that features a lot of drama and action alike. In this story we will follow our protagonist Yeon Shi Eun, a student with very good grades who ends up being the target of bullying by some students, but his appearance of being a weak young man is far from reality, so he must face various people inside and outside the school with the use of his brain and his analytical power of the situations.

What happens in the K-drama?

Let's talk a little bit about what happens in the first episode. We are in a classroom where they are going over the correct answers to a practice test. Upon hearing one of the answers, we see how a student becomes indignant to the point that his annoyance leads him to bang on the desk. The entire room falls silent and their gazes turn to him. Without a word, the student gets up and goes towards another student and hits him. This is how this episode begins, so after the introduction, we go back a few days before the events I mentioned at the beginning.

We are introduced to our protagonist, who is the same annoying student who attacked the other one. His name is Yeon Shi Eun, a student with excellent grades, the one whose mind is focused only on his studies. Yeon Shi Eun receives an award for the math competitions, being the first place winner, but there is also Jeon Yeong Bin, the second place winner and the popular boy in the classroom. After they both receive their certificates, Jeon Yeong Bin looks at Yeon Shi Eun perhaps with some envy. At the end of the class, we see Jeon Yeong Bin bullying a boy by forcing him to dance in order to film him. Not content with this, he throws a shoe at Yeon Shi Eun and assures her that it was an accident, to which Yeon Shi Eun only asks him not to let it happen again and this makes Jeon Yeong Bin's blood boil, which seems to give her reason to start bullying Yeon Shi Eun.

Yeon Shi Eun is not intimidated, even though she clearly has the odds stacked against her, but she still asks Jeon Yeong Bin to stop, in a way that seems more like a warning than a plea and this makes Jeon Yeong Bin more upset, so seeing that she cannot corrupt Yeon Shi Eun's soul with bullying, she decides to hurt him by making him get bad grades. Jeon Yeong Bin manages to get someone to put a drug patch on Yeon Shi Eun's neck just when everyone takes the exam, this clearly takes effect and Yeon Shi Eun starts to get dizzy and can't concentrate on the answers and even though she manages to notice the patch it's too late.

This brings us to the beginning of the story, when a student announces the answers, so Yeon Shi Eun is upset to know that the one responsible for having failed is Jeon Yeong Bin, so he goes towards him analyzing the whole situation and knowing that he must immobilize Jeon Yeong Bin's other friend, so he acts fast and in a few seconds he is hitting Jeon Yeong Bin so brutally that he breaks his nose and knocks him unconscious, he might even have killed him if not for another student stopping him, telling him that he must not cross the line. But Yeon Shi Eun's annoyance is so great that she acts on the offensive without thinking and thus ends the first episode.

My opinion about the K-drama

From this point on I will talk only about my opinion regarding the whole K-drama, but I will not mention any spoilers so you can enjoy it on your own if you decide to watch it. Let's start talking about the story, in this part I must say that, although there are many K-drama that have a similar story when it comes to revenge or bullying, in this occasion this story surprised me a lot, the way of taking the subject from a totally opposite perspective as it usually happens made me want to watch it immediately, finish an episode and start the other one instantly, is that the story ends up immersing you in a quite sinister world that without a doubt you are left with that thought of wanting to know what will happen next, that's why you should never underestimate Korean stories, they always offer a lot of content.

Here we will find a lot of action, although you can tell by the way the episode starts and ends, this is only the beginning of many scenes to come that will certainly not leave anyone unsatisfied. When one talks about action it is assumed that there is danger in most cases and it really feels that way here, besides having the stupid fight factor and also smart fight, which undoubtedly throw us precious and very satisfying scenes, but also some quite raw that will make us want to close our eyes to not see what is about to happen, that's how realistic the situation becomes and we can not forget the drama, each episode is full of situations that will leave us with our heart racing.

Now, let's talk a little bit about the characters in general not to say more than I should, but I do want to mention that, in this story we will find characters of all kinds, some that we will love from minute one, others that we will hate from minute two and others that honestly do not contribute much to the story, what I must say is that, each of these are shown in different ways, we will have certain developments that may not be expected and also surprises that will lead to changes in the main plot, so it seems to me that both the main and secondary characters are very well built, because each one fulfills its function of being loved and hated, believe me you will be with me in the latter, this story will bring out the worst of human beings and society.

Finally, I must clarify that this K-drama is not a story for everyone, here are touched quite strong and delicate issues that for some people can become uncomfortable, but I think that's one of the things that South Korean stories have and why many people love to consume this content, because without a doubt they are not afraid to show a reality that not only applies in South Korea, but also in many other parts of the world that maybe are not so visible, but honestly it is a pretty hard story, that you are going to enjoy and hate at the same time, so if you want to watch it keep in mind what I just said. For my part I'm going to say that it's a story that without a doubt impressed me, caught me and left me stunned. My personal rating is 5 out of 5 stars, it is totally worth it.

El día de ayer me encontré con una amiga la cual fue una de las razones por las cuales terminé amando los K-drama y justo veníamos hablando sobre ello, por lo que le pregunté cuál había visto últimamente y me recomendó una, honestamente a veces me cuesta terminar un K-drama, pero la trama de este realmente llamó mi atención, además que cuenta con tan solo 8 episodios lo que hizo que pudiese verlo bastante rápido y es la razón de esta publicación, así que, sean bienvenidos queridos amigos de la comunidad, el día de hoy quiero hablarles de “El héroe débil de la clase 1”, comencemos con la reseña.

Este K-drama estrenado el 18 de noviembre del año 2022 es una producción surcoreana que, al igual que otras, está basada en un Webtoon publicado en el año 2018. Aquí encontraremos una historia diversa que cuenta con mucho drama y acción por igual. En esta historia seguiremos a nuestro protagonista Yeon Shi Eun, un estudiante con unas muy buenas calificaciones quien termina siendo objetivo de bullying de algunos estudiantes, pero su apariencia de ser un joven débil está alejada de la realidad, por lo que debe enfrentarse a diversas personas dentro y fuera de la escuela con el uso de su cerebro y su poder analítico de las situaciones.

¿Qué sucede en el K-drama?

Hablemos un poco de lo que sucede en el primer episodio. Nos ubicamos en un salón de clases donde repasan las respuestas correctas de un examen de práctica. Al escuchar una de las respuestas, se aprecia cómo un estudiante se indigna hasta el punto de que su molestia le lleva a golpear el escritorio. Todo el salón queda en silencio y sus miradas se dirigen hacia él. Sin mediar palabras, el estudiante se levanta y va en dirección hacia otro estudiante y lo golpea. Así comienza este episodio, por lo que luego de la introducción, nos regresamos unos días atrás antes de que sucediesen los hechos que mencioné al principio.

Se nos presenta a nuestro protagonista, quien es el mismo estudiante molesto que atacó al otro. Su nombre es Yeon Shi Eun, un estudiante con excelentes calificaciones, el que tiene la mente enfocada en solo sus estudios. Yeon Shi Eun recibe un premio por las competencias de matemáticas, siendo el ganador del primer lugar, pero también está Jeon Yeong Bin, ganador del segundo lugar y el chico popular del salón. Luego de que ambos reciben sus certificados, Jeon Yeong Bin observa a Yeon Shi Eun quizás con cierta envidia. Al terminar la clase, vemos a Jeon Yeong Bin intimidando a un chico obligándolo a bailar para grabarlo. No conforme con esto, le arroja un zapato a Yeon Shi Eun y le asegura que fue un accidente, a lo que Yeon Shi Eun solo le pide que no vuelva a pasar y esto hace hervir la sangre de Jeon Yeong Bin, lo que parece darle motivos para empezar a hacerle bullying a Yeon Shi Eun.

Yeon Shi Eun no se deja intimidar, aun cuando claramente tiene las de perder, pero aun así le pide a Jeon Yeong Bin que pare, de manera que parece más una advertencia que una súplica y esto hace molestar más a Jeon Yeong Bin, por lo que al ver que no puede corromper el alma de Yeon Shi Eun con bullying, decide lastimarlo haciéndole sacar malas notas. Jeon Yeong Bin se las ingenia para que alguien le coloque un parche de droga a Yeon Shi Eun en el cuello justo cuando todos presentan el examen, esto claramente hace efecto y Yeon Shi Eun comienza a marearse y no puede concentrarse en las respuestas y aunque logra darse cuenta del parche ya es tarde.

Esto nos lleva al principio de la historia, cuando un estudiante anuncia las respuestas, por lo que Yeon Shi Eun se molesta al saber que el responsable de haber fallado es Jeon Yeong Bin, por lo que se dirige hacia él analizando toda la situación y sabiendo que debe inmovilizar al otro amigo de Jeon Yeong Bin, por lo que actúa rápido y en pocos segundos está golpeando a Jeon Yeong Bin con tanta brutalidad que le rompe la nariz y lo deja inconsciente, incluso podría haberlo matado si no es porque otro estudiante le detiene, diciéndole que no debe cruzar la línea. Pero la molestia de Yeon Shi Eun es tan grande que actúa a la ofensiva sin pensarlo y así termina el primer episodio.

Mi opinión sobre el K-drama

A partir de este punto hablaré solo de mi opinión con respecto a todo el K-drama, pero no mencionaré ningún spoiler para que puedan disfrutarlo por su cuenta si deciden verlo. Comencemos hablando de la historia, en esta parte debo decir que, si bien hay muchos K-drama que tienen una historia similar cuando se trata de venganza o bullying, en esta ocasión esta historia me sorprendió mucho, la manera de llevar el tema desde una perspectiva totalmente contraria como suele suceder me hizo querer verla de inmediato, terminar un episodio y empezar el otro al instante, es que la historia termina sumergiéndote en un mundo bastante siniestro que sin dudas te queda ese pensamiento de querer saber qué es lo próximo que sucederá, por eso nunca hay que menospreciar las historias coreanas, siempre ofrecen mucho contenido.

Aquí encontraremos mucha acción, si bien lo pueden notar por la manera de empezar del episodio y su forma de terminar, esto solo es el comienzo para muchas escenas venideras que sin duda no dejarán a nadie insatisfecho. Cuando uno habla de acción se supone que hay peligro en la mayoría de casos y realmente aquí se siente de esa manera, además de contar con el factor pelea estúpida y también pelea inteligente, lo que sin duda nos arrojan escenas preciosas y muy satisfactorias, pero también algunas bastante crudas que nos harán querer cerrar los ojos para no ver lo que está por suceder, así de realista se vuelve la situación y no podemos olvidar el drama, cada episodio está repleto de situaciones que nos dejarán con el corazón acelerado.

Ahora bien, hablemos un poco de los personajes en general para no decir más de lo que debería, pero sí quiero mencionar que, en esta historia encontraremos personajes de todo tipo, algunos que vamos a querer desde el minuto uno, otros que vamos a odiar desde el minuto dos y otros que honestamente no aportan mucho a la historia, lo que sí debo decir es que, cada uno de estos son mostrados de distintas maneras, tendremos ciertos desarrollos que quizás no se esperan y también sorpresas que darán pie a cambios en la trama principal, por lo que me parece que tanto los personajes principales como los secundarios están muy bien construidos, porque cada uno cumple con su función de ser querido y odiado, créanme que estarán conmigo en esto último, esta historia sacará lo peor del ser humano y la sociedad.

Por último, debo aclarar que este K-drama no es una historia para cualquiera, aquí se tocan temas bastante fuertes y delicados que para algunas personas puede llegar a ser incómodo, pero creo que esa es una de las cosas que tienen las historias surcoreanas y por las cuales muchas personas aman consumir este contenido, porque sin duda no tienen miedo de mostrar una realidad que no solo aplica en Corea del Sur, sino también en muchas otras partes del mundo que quizás no están tan visibles, pero honestamente es una historia bastante dura, que van a disfrutar como odiar al mismo tiempo, así que si desean verla tengan lo que acabo de decir en cuenta. Por mi parte voy a decir que es una historia que sin dudas me impresionó, me atrapó y me dejó anonadado. Mi puntuación personal es de 5 de 5 estrellas, vale totalmente la pena.
