Monomad: Lights, shadows, and the street [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

Happy start to the week to everyone, dear friends in the community and lovers of black and white photography; I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I’m sharing some street photos where the interplay of light and shadow helps create a beautiful effect; I hope you enjoy them.

Feliz inicio de semana para todos, queridos amigos de la comunidad y amantes de la fotografía en blanco y negro; espero que todos tuvieran un estupendo fin de semana. Les comparto algunas fotografías callejeras donde la luz y las sombras son las que ayudan a generar un resultado muy bonito; espero que las disfruten.

When you're trying to compose a shot, it can be a bit tricky. I mean, you don't have much control when you're taking photos on the street, so patience is usually the key: you have to wait for that moment when someone is in the perfect spot and then take the picture.

Cuando buscas hacer composiciones puede ser algo complicado, quiero decir, no hay mucho control cuando intentas hacer fotos en las calles, por eso la paciencia suele ser la base de todo: intentar esperar ese momento en que alguna persona se encuentre en el momento ideal y luego hacer la fotografía.

The funny thing is that it’s all about trial and error, because you might take a lot of photos in the moment, but if you really feel like they don’t capture the essence of what you were looking for, you have to start over from scratch, which, at the same time, helps, because practice makes perfect, after all.

Lo gracioso es que todo es mucho de ensayo y error, porque puedes hacer muchas fotografías en ese momento, pero si realmente consideras que no logra captar la esencia de lo que estabas buscando, toca volver a empezar de nuevo, lo cual, al mismo tiempo, ayuda, porque la práctica nos hace mejor después de todo.
