The geometric shapes

Hello everyone, hope you find each other well friends πŸ™‚ For those who don't know, I work with a group of 24 children aged 4 and 5 in a kindergarten. I love teaching children, I really love my profession. Now I'm teaching geometric shapes, and they're loving learning. As you know, I always like to do new work and if I can work on several themes in the same work, the better. In this work I am working with children on geometric shapes, colors, fine motor skills and reasoning ☺️

I think this work is still quite difficult for children who have not yet turned 5 and even for some who have already turned 5 but I like to do difficult work for them to evolve, and I feel that they have evolved a lot. I'm so happy to see them evolve. They have evolved so much since the beginning that I've been with them ❀️

They came to my side and said they couldn't but some just wanted me to sit next to them and be there for a while to give them a little attention. Some when I sit next to them do everything right just so I can tell them congratulations πŸ’– others really have a lot of difficulty And I have a lot of doing activities with so many children at the same time. I think they should be less so that I can calmly do the activities and give them more attention

I also like to see them working in a group, we have 4 tables in the room and one A, another B, another C and another D, I like to divide it up like this because when, for example, table C leaves pencils, scissors or other materials, I ask for table C going to clean up and when they work as a group I think they evolve faster, when one is lazier looking at the other colleagues they do the work faster and help each other which I love ☺️

I would like to know if in the place where you live or if it is your case and if you work in kindergartens it is done the same way as we do here in Portugal and if there are as many children in a room as there are here in each class

In the end Santiago came to tell me that he loves difficult things and that I have to play more games like this πŸ˜… but I explained to him that he is the oldest in the room and that for the little ones it is still a little difficult but I told him that I was going to do it with him and with the other children who are almost turning 6, I'm going to start doing more difficult activities, and I want to see if they start reading before going to the first year. I know it's not my job to teach reading, I just have to teach letters and then in the first year, yes, the teachers teach reading, but some are already so evolved that I'm going to start training with them right away ☺️

I hope you liked it, see you soon friends ☺️

Working with groups is a method you should keep encouraging them. They will learn team work as well and have that confident to lay hands on those exercise the more.
You are doing well πŸ‘πŸ˜Š
