Hello everyone, today here in Portugal we celebrate pajama day. Pajama Day is an educational and supportive day made by children who help other children.

On pajama day all children up to 10 years old go to school dressed in pajamas

What is National Pajama Day?
National Pajama Day is an educational and supportive day organized by children who help other children.
On this day, children up to the age of 10 (nursery, kindergarten and primary school), in participating institutions and schools, from all over the country (mainland and islands) - or from countries where there are Portuguese schools -, come dressed in pajamas to school and thus spend the day in educational and fun activities until they return home.
National Pajama Day is held on November 20 of each year. In the previous weeks, the educators organize, in the room with the children and families, a set of playful and educational activities inspired by the Pijama Mission. The date coincides with the day of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child.
This is a day when young children annually remind everyone that "a child has the right to grow up in a family". National Pajama Day is an initiative and trademark of Mundos de Vida. It is also an initiative that is part of the Pijama Mission.

It is for all children, who have the right to grow up in a family, in the comfort of a home, with love, affection and education, that "Dia do Pajama" was created. And it is no coincidence that it is celebrated on the same day as the International Convention on the Rights of the Child. On the 20th of November, we remember what every child can't miss, regardless of their nationality, religion or culture.

Because it is such a special day, whenever "Pajama Day" is celebrated on a weekend, as is the case this year, another day (a working day) is chosen for its celebration. Therefore, this year, it is celebrated on Monday, November 21st.

This is a Portuguese day, created by Mundos de Vida - Association for Education and Solidarity, and in which children up to 10 years old go to school dressed in pajamas. This is how a day made by children and for children, because there is no one better to alert and give visibility to these issues than them.

All the children took a house home

And today they had to bring the little house with some money. It took Friday to be able to ask the parents, uncles, cousins, the whole family because the more money they brought the more we could help the children in need

I hope you liked it, see you soon friends 😀

Indeed, every child needs to be taken cared of and loved. We have to love them with all our hearts. There's a great foundation in our home, it is where all started. We have to nurture them for them to have a brighter future. To gain self confidence and self esteem. Thank you for sharing this one. God bless
