Splinterjourney: Preparing for Rebellion

During my previous post, I focus on the Splinterlands presale of the rebellion edition. As you can see from the picture below,

So far I have bought 252 rebellion packs during the presale.

Rebellion Preparation 1: Presale

I am currently ranking 178, quite have some safety margin from being kicked off from the 250 top ranking.

One of the top concern is to keep myself relevant for the top 250 ranking for the title reward. Given that i still have double the amount purchased as compare to rank 250, i am still at no immediate risk of being kicked off.

Rebellion Preparation 2: Grinding for the reward cards

We still dont have any idea when the current reward cards will be discontinued and whether there will be any sudden announcement that give very little time to react just like what happen to the 2nd waves of reward cards during the chao edition as they were cut short. So i always kept telling myself to try my best to get as many daily or end of season chests as possible so that i could level the soul bounded reward cards as high as possible. I am trying to max them before they discontinue so that I could place myself with a perfect modern deck, in hoping that would give me an edge when rebellion is out. Since it may took a while before i could max the rebellion edition, that means these currently rewards cards will play a huge role until my rebellion edition could level enough to be used for rank matches. Legendary Cards: 6 at lv3(half way there), 3 at max lv4 with 2 due to luck of multiple gfl drops and 1 is regular foil. I even have 2 at level 1 while 1 at level 2. My regular foil musa saline is also at level 1 but luckily the gfl luck managed to make my musa saline at level 4.
Epic cards(most difficult): 3 just nicely hit level 5, and 4 at level 4. GFE dont even need to say as that is like the hardest GF to get out of all the rarity.
Rare cards: 3 at level 6, 5 cards at level 7, while 4 are at max lv8. I have one rare at lv6 with only 3 more bcx while 1 at max lv8 with extra 45 bcx. How huge the variance can get.
Common cards: 3 at lv9, while 8 cards are at max lv10. There is only one at level 8 and it is not even half way reaching lv9, speaking about how varies the quantity of each card can get.
Overall, i still need to work hard to maximize the number of chests i could get close to a perfect reward deck. And i also need to pray that the dev could give us more time to farm for the necessary cards.

Rebellion Preparation 3: SPS Staking Multiplier for Ranked Battle

SPS staking is always one of the most important for the earning during the rebellion phrase.

This SPS staking table from Splinterlands on 4 Jul is always one important info that I kept referring to. Before the SPS staking, it is believed to be close to x10 rewards for the chests. So to have a reasonable rewards, I want to also get x10 for up to champion 2. That would means that it is 322k SPS staked.

As such, I am constantly monitoring my staking SPS progress since May.

Since I already have achieved my goal in Q3 of 2023, I am looking to increase my target SPS staking to 417k. Since I am planning to play Splinterlands for years, I hope eventually I can constantly playing at Champion 1 so I need to have decent earning in Champion 1. Overall, getting more SPS staking also benefit other leagues as well too.

Rebellion unPreparation 1: Lost my LP and its rewards

1 strategy that I have building is the DEC rental income and the SPS rewards from SPS staking, i use these 2 to reinvest into LP to get more SPS rewards. This would also help me to build up my funds when new set of cards are out. So when rebellion presale is out, I pull out all my SPS - DEC LP and convert all to DEC and that is how I get the capital to buy the 250 packs of rebellion.

Rebellion unPreparation 2: Reserving some of the rental income for lands

Beside focusing on Rebellion, I also need to save some DEC for lands. Given that I have 200 lands, I dont even have enough DEC for 1 lands yet. That is how unprepared I am for lands. So I also need to start to focus on saving for lands at the same time.
