Splinterland Weekly Challenge: Latest Purchase

Today i am going to talk about my latest purchases.

Recently, I finally able to buy this amazing card: Fallen Specter which i have been dreaming to buy for a long long time.

As you can see, you are able to -1 to melee damage, -1 to range attack, dual debuff all just into 1 splinter with only 2mana!! It also have some nice skill like fly which is gd for earthquakes and blind which make range and melee even sadder.

Note: I have rented out most of my cards to generate passive DEC. However, I love playing Splinterlands so much that I bought thousand of Chao Legion Packs to be back in the game. So I mainly can only play Chao Legion splinters and summoners.

Strategy:

The battle only allows 23 mana and rule is fog of war. So there is no sneak and snipe which means quite easy for the backline. This make me tempted to select death team as there several low mana splinters that tend to have low hp but high damage. And if I pair fallen specter with thaddius blood summoner, that means I am able to -1 to melee+range+magic attacks!!!

This is how it looks like after all the effects/buff/debuffs had been applied. With 1 boost in speed and 1 slow skill, suddenly the difference in our speed can be quite scary.

This is a beautiful place on how to take down Cerebus. Thanks to amplifying, torn is able to deal 3 damage, 1 magic damage from fallen specter. And with the huge speed gap, it wont be a surprise that it avoid windeku and weirding attacks. With 4 hp left, Dr blight manage to deal another 2 magic attack and posion with another 2 damage to able to knock down cerebus within 1 round! Woa.

We can see how important fallen specture can be. After spy take it down, Miner is able to increase 1 more melee damage to 4 when attacking Windeku, otherwise Windeku would have survive and heal himself again. Nevertheless, you can see that wingrift and dr blight is building themselves to be the next tanker.

And once again, the posion of dr blight was able to take down spy too at round 2. Despite having 3 hp and dr blight only can do 2 magical damage, the posion can really make a huge difference. With only 2hp and 3hp splinters left to "shield" dr blight, dr blight was quickly exposed in the front line while wingrift had over 10hp to tank the opponent dr blight. With only 1 magic attack, dr blight would still need turns to bring down wingrift. Meanwhile, i can continue to deal 2 range attack and 2 magic attack each round to their dr blight.

I really love the fallen specter and it works very well with those debuff death summoners. It is like the "must put" for fallen specter for equaliser ruleset!!
