Updates on my journey with WOO and how I still strongly believe in it

It has been quite a long time since I gave my updates on WOO. In fact, my last blog focusing on WOO content is in May which you can have a read here:

Given that half a year have already gone, I think it is also a good recap for me on what I have done for WOO and keep track of my WOO progress during this period of time.

WOO Crates Sale Event

WOO conducted a WOO crates sale event in Jul. You can have a detail read of the event here:

The most important infomation about the crates sale is the airdrop crates!!
If you are in common tier, you will receive 1 free common crates for every woopartsun pack you purchase.

HOWEVER, if you are at legendary tier, you will receive 5 common crates and 1 legendary crates for every woopartsun pack you purchase. This is a HUGE difference in the airdrop of crates.

So it is either you get the legendary tier and enjoy the huge airdrops of crates or you totally gave up on buying any on the common tier since it is highly that you will end up losing in values.

Getting to legendary tier is also not easy as you first need to invest quite a significant sum before you get to enjoy these amazing bonus airdrop crates.

So this is what I do instead, I joined the cartel pool as they are already in legendary tier since they already have enough points from the presale. However, I would need to pay 21 HBD instead of the market cost price of 20 HBD with the extra 1 HBD goes to the cartel fee for hosting. While, I found this worth it as I can enjoy the 5 common crates and 1 legendary crates for every woosaturn pack I purchased through cartel. I only manage to buy 1 and cartel had already distributed out the crates.

So this is what it looks like

6 common crates and 1 legendary crate.

Currently, 1 legendary crate is selling for 14 HBD.

While, 1 common crates goes for 0.4 HBD

Also a woopartsun pack is currently worth about $6.

Total value = $6(Woopartsun) + $14(1 legendary crates) + $2 (5-6 common crates) = $22

So i think it is quite a good purchase cause the items still retain the values.

Land Upgrade

Yes, you heard me right! You can now upgrade the WOO land. I purchase 1 land to keep myself involved in this game. This is the only land I have:

When you click on the "upgrade land" button,

you can see that there are up to 9 different type for you to upgrade. Each type also has its own level with different upgrade cost. Some can cost as cheap as 30 WOO to upgrade while some need 8000 WOO to upgrade. To be honest, I am quite impressed by the speed of woo developers to have this functionality out so fast, while I am still patiently waiting for Splinterlands Landplay since......

NFT Leveling

Let's use Arty Wright as an example. For my case, you can see that I have 5 Arty Wright.

When you click on the stats and levels, you can see more details on how to level up and the benefit you can have for having higher levels.

Arty Wright would need to merge 51 cards in order to reach level 2. And the benefit for reaching level 2 is that you will have 1 more speed. You will need another 50 more bcx to reach level 3.

HP Delegation!!

Thanks to the land upgrade, people are rushing to get more WOO to upgrade. As a result, the price of WOO increased a lot. Thus, the APY for HP delegation to WOO increased a lot.

As you can see, the APR for HP delegation is 22.5%!!! That means I can earned more than 2x as compare to delegating my HP to other projects. So without much resistant, i delegated 5k HP to WOO. Within a week, I think I can get 50k Woo from the HP delegation. Do note that the woo earned from HP delegation will go directly to the staked Woo, so you would still need 28 days to withdraw the Woo from the HP delegation.

Overall

I am very impressed at the speed of the Woo development team. They managed to introduce card leveling, land upgrading and crates sale all within less than 6 months. This is insane progression within such a short duration!!! And this just made me more confident in the team.
