Someone had to come and get her, didn't they? She couldn't stay on the run all her life. But sometimes it's better to walk away, recover and start again.
Your character made me feel sad because it's not easy to live like that, mistreated and humiliated without guilt.

I think Tessa needed someone to help her see that she didn't have to run anymore since it was so hard giving all she had been through for her to see him herself.
