Greetings dear reader! I am Gopal (@naradamoon) and I have a satisfied heart for being able to participate in this #hivebookclub community contest. It was just today that I became aware of the existence of this community, I took a look at it and I found it wonderful everything they share in it. Realizing, in the midst of my appreciation for the community, I could see that this contest was being held on some questions that are asked regarding the reader; so this would be my entry to the contest.

Browsing through Hive I always come across spaces where topics that are fundamental to me are developed. Reading (for example) has always been a tool of escape, growth, nourishment and development that exuberantly contributes to the intellectual, oral and even spiritual aspects of life.

I began to nourish my spirit with the concepts structured by words in books when I was fifteen years old. I remember that the first book I read was a novel by Richard Bach called Juan Salvador Gaviota, which narrated the story of a seagull and his learning in life (I remember that this fable in novel form was a little sad and always made me cry heh heh). Later on, I started to delve into Eastern philosophy, with books like the Bhadavad-guita and Krsna's pastimes (all readings based on Krsnaism). As time went by I moved towards the search of concepts with western philosophy with books like "Beyond Good and Evil" and "Thus I speak Zarathustra" by Friederich Nietsche, or "The Prince" by Nicolas Machiavelli as well as some works by Platon.

Well, I could get lost in a frenzied delirium talking about the other books I've read and their contents structured to shape thought, but without further ado, here are my answers to the #hivebookclub contest:

what is your favorite time or place to read?

Since reading is a persistent habit in my common daily life, I could deduce that time and space when reading may vary, even so, I always try to enjoy the words captured on a page in moments where I don't have any other obligation. I also try to capture moments where I can share the interpretation of reading with another person or simply moments where noise is an absent factor.
If I were to say which would be my favorite place to read, I would say outdoors, in a mountain or some space with nature and few people, although it is also comfortable and efficient for me to read in my room or a place where I can position myself comfortably. I don't usually read in squares, trains or public places, even though I've done it, it's more difficult for me to concentrate.

What makes you enjoy a book?

Since I started reading, the philosophical content has always been present. The only novel I read was the aforementioned "Juan Salvador Gaviota" by Richard Bach, but really my tendency is directed towards reflective and philosophical reading that raises and develops ideas about the search for the self, the structuring of rational thought, the analysis and deduction of degrading human behavior or methods of self-observation for personal evolution. All these aspects mentioned are what excite me about a book, what make me create ideas, build awareness for self-knowledge and build consciousness to better manage in existence; truly these things make me enjoy a book very much.

Do you like to read outdoors, before going to bed or on the bus on your way to work?

As I mentioned before, I love being able to nourish my mind with the knowledge of books in outdoor spaces with lots of nature. I don't usually read a lot before going to sleep, although I have done it and it is very pleasant, what I usually do is read in the early morning and then do something else and go to sleep (because I am a relatively nocturnal person).
Public transportation is for me something uncomfortable.

Do you focus on character development, thoughtful messages or the level of intrigue a plot generates in you?

I can state that I focus on those three aspects depending on the reading I am doing. If it is a novel developing a character's story, then I will focus on and may even identify with the character. If what I am reading contains reflective and integral developmental messages, then I will be able to observe them and take them on board in detail. In the case of a plot, I would focus on its events even if I am somewhat forgetful about the order of events.
The truth is that it all depends on how the content of the book is structured. There are books that do not revolve around plots and characters but around ideas and approaches, but there are also books that bring these three aspects together and that is where my attention is focused on those same details equally. Books that I have read that deal with these aspects are: "Thus I speak Zarathustra", The Bhagavad-guita and the Ramayana.

Thanks for reading me! I also apologize to this community for publishing my entry on its last day of validity, it's just that I noticed it today.
I will be here! Sharing the knowledge transmitted letter after letter. Reading is like the stars that illuminate the dark sky of starving ignorance, it gives us the tools to give form, aesthetics and meaning to thought.

saludos querido lector!
