What is your next 100x gem in Crypto ?

avatar

I'm a bit concerned about writing this post. Then again for most people, Crypto is all about gains.

I’m not hungry for money. Compared to several years ago, when I had less money, I still have the same life. It’s a rich life.

Money can solve the money problems and give people more freedom.

Before I continue, I must claim my writing is not financial advice, and please always do your own research. Recently wrote a post asking should I buy $SHIB? and It's my FOMO missing the million percent gain. Luckily because I have improved my emotional intelligence recently, I could make a good decision and continue to think long term.

Bitcoin, ETH, BNB, XRP, SHIB, DOGE, AAVE, and so many coins are proof that you only need to be right once to get rich in crypto in the long term.

When investing remember:

You only have to be right ONCE.

You only need to get rich once.

I will try to answer my own question. Hopefully, in the coming days, I could research more about 100X gems. Today I will stick with only one.

Chainlink ($LINK)

It's currently sitting at just over $32. Can LINK reach $3000 before 2025? In my opinion, there is a possibility of reaching at least $1000 that's 33X from today's price. Also, I must note ChainLink would have to reach a one trillion dollar market cap to reach $1,000.

Chainlink was created in September 2017, and was launched on the Ethereum Mainnet in May 2019. So LINK was born before ETH as smartcontract.com by Sergey Nazarov. Sergey has been building in the smart contract space before Ethereum was even created.

For decades, many technology experts believed that the oracle problem could never actually be solved. This is where Chainlink comes in. Chainlink solves this by being oracle network from the blockchain to the outside world.

This is similar to your computer connecting to the internet. Without an internet connection, your computer is fairly limited in it's usefulness and functionality. Chainlink's oracle network is the internet connection for the blockchain to the outside world. It connects any data input out there to the blockchain, whether that be data from the banks, an API, or some large database.

1_zj6Va-TkF43MPWkdTFOROQ.png

The price depends on the number of LINK staked in nodes and the supply/demand for LINK. Staking LINK improves node reputation and may be necessary for processing high-value data feeds. If a significant amount of LINK is staked in nodes, the supply is limited. If LINK is widely adopted, demand for LINK will be high.

Chainlink is already helping Amazon AWS and it can also partner with FaceBook's META.

Chainlink Labs is thrilled to be working with AWS to give data providers, enterprises, and DevOps an easy-to-integrate node infrastructure, and we are also exploring further integrations with Amazon Managed Blockchain to streamline deployment and management of Chainlink nodes

Chainlink is an “Oracle Network”, which basically means a link between the real world and the blockchain world. Ethereum and other blockchains can’t communicate with the real world. Trying to get Ethereum to communicate with the real world is like trying to mix oil and water. And ChainLink has the solution. Chainlink is trying to do is to get integrated into other projects, and accumulate partnerships with different companies to make them able to link blockchain and real-world data.

I would recommend you to read the use cases of smart contracts coupled with Chainlink's oracles with Chainlink's blog called 77 Smart Contract use Cases Enabled By Chainlink.

Nothing like Chainlink has ever been created before, so if Chainlink becomes a global standard and ends up securing billions, trillions, or maybe even quadrillions of dollars of value in the future, the sky is quite literally the limit.

Chainlink has a huge ecosystem of partners and collaborators and becoming the global standard for oracle frameworks. Some of their main collaborations include Google, Oracle, SWIFT, and Amazon. Current list of partners and collaborators of ChainLink

Thank you and I truly appreciate your support. I'm grateful to be part of our crypto, Hive, and LeoFinance community. Today is Day number 18 of my personal 365 days of writing challenge.

I really feel ADA is still undervalued and probably in the coming years to come it will be around $50 which will be 25X from the current market price. Along with that it is a good coin for the staking rewards too.

Link has been something I've had high hopes for for years. I'm really shocked things like Solana have just come out of nowhere and rocketed ahead of Link.

I'm so in my Hive bubble...

I've missed out on some many things because of my tunnel vision. What is the next 100x token...Million dollar question.

I remember hearing about chainlink way back in the 'steem days' and didnt do a thing lol

Not sure if it's a blessing or a curse that I'm so focused here.

I'm so focused here.

Same with me. My entrepreneur DNA is so strong and that's why I switched my investor journey back in 2018 and went all-in with STEEM and sold all other cryptos including LINK.

It's healthy to be a BUIDLER + INVESTOR and Thanks to Hive for allowing many people these options.

What I have discovered overtime is that being an early adopter into a crypto project can definitely prove resources. I don't care if I missed Shiba inu, there are more opportunities ahead.

LINK seems promising. Have you checked HBAR?

Learning bit more about HBAR.

Screenshot 20211103 at 14.38.57.png

Hedera uses a novel form of proof-of-stake (PoS) which allows HBAR users to stake their resources to help protect the network. Right now, all Hedera nodes are managed by either Hedera itself or the governing council members, but there are plans to switch to a permissionless system in the future.

According to Hedera's resources, the two project founders each have a coin grant of two billion HBARs, equivalent to 4% of the total supply each. These tokens are vested over a six-year period.

Thank you for sharing :)

Close to release already, an NFT game called Everest. I read rumors the whales plan to pump it as soon as the ingame NFTs drop. I‘ll buy some too.
The NFT Market Cap has surpassed the rest of crypto already. It’s pure Bananas 🍌, just look at Splinterlands. My Collection went from last year 380$ lowest to now 30k+ today. Add the SPS Airdrop and we‘re 100x.

Don't hold your breath as it's not going to be tomorrow. I'd be happy with 10x and retrace and bottom out at $4 or so. But who knows. HIVE is not like any other asset.

Nice educational post about chainlink. As well as a beautiful prediction until 2025. I haven't decided on 100x crypto yet. I have a lot to learn here. So I’m learning and will try to invest that next.

I think Cardano could be the next gem as upgrades to smart contract and very focused on working with Africa.

I have been accumulating but sadly sold all due to financial needs, not sure if I can be able to get in again.

What is your next 100x gem in Crypto?

I wish I know. Hopefully Hive, or any other tokens on the Hive Engine.

But putting the jokes aside, I would not even really need a 100x gain. I currently have $92.108 HBD in savings. Close to $100 HBD. Let us say that $1 HBD is worth $1 USD. My goal is to buy a sailboat with a cabin to live on it to get out of the financial discrimination, in which I currently live in (very high rent and regular monthly bills compared to an income less than the local minimum wage), and I heard that someone bought a 17 feet Stortris sailboat approximately three months ago for $1000 USD, so approximately a 10x increase would solve this for me.

By the way, I am sure that I will reach my goal soon, thanks to the huge support from the Hive community, including you.

Thank you so much for the support both to you and to everyone else. I am truly very grateful and very happy.

Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings from Hungary.

Happy to read your humble comment!

I remember setting my goal in June this year to pay off my debt which was holding me back for the last two years. It took me just 3 months to become debt-free again.

I'm sure you will achieve your goal of

My goal is to buy a sailboat with a cabin to live on it

Through my own life experiments, I found that having one overwhelming desire will make most goals achievable.

Pick one desire and one desire only. The universe will help you get it. Let go of everything else.

You got this :)

This is beautiful. Thank you so much for this great support and motivation/inspiration. Both to you and also to everyone else. Maybe I will be able to buy a sailboat even sooner than I expected. Maybe within one year.

Thank you again. I am really truly grateful and happy.

Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings from Hungary.

Frankly I believe I understand blockchain but never understood Chainlink. I read the explanations several times in various forms and they still don't make sense for me.

The "oracle problem" is at heart a conflict between anonymity and trustworthiness. Public blockchains all swear by anonymity - actual people are shielded from censorship behind an address. But that allows them to shirk responsibility - so what's to prevent them from sending garbage data to the blockchain, since no one will be able to link it to them directly, but only to one of their addresses (which can be dropped and another created).

So how in the world is Link going to solve that ? And why do you need another blockchain (with a token: LINK) to solve a problem which is structural to public blockchains ?

Now let's look at how does Hive / steem solve the oracle problem, embodied by the feed price? It asks witnesses to send a transaction with the feed price and does an average. The idea being that if a witness, despite being pseudonymous, tries to feed a garbage price, not only it will be "averaged out" but also users might "sanction" her/him by withdrawing their vote.

TL;DR:
- Are steem / hive blockchains? YES!
- Do they have an oracle problem? VERY MUCH SO: in the feed price (which controls the emission rate of SBD/HBD)
- Do they currently propose a solution to it? YES: witnesses feed prices, blockchain averages
- Does that solution need LINK? NO!

So, beyond the usual BS to sell tokens, what good is LINK?

Thank you for the good feedback.

For example, if take a look at only the insurance industry with a current global market cap of over 6 Trillion. I can imagine ChainLink capturing 10-20% in the next 5-10 years with decentralized oracle and hybrid smart contracts.

The insurance industry today operates in a low-trust business environment. Policyholders have an incentive to falsely report positive metrics in insurance applications to reduce their monthly deductibles and insurers have an incentive to delay payments and raise rates to account for misrepresented risk profiles. Since insurance companies are responsible for processing claims and are much more capitalized than policyholders, they wield substantially more power in terms of when and how claims are settled. Chainlink-powered smart contracts shift insurance contracts towards a more objective, equal-standing model where data directly determines the outcomes and execution is deterministic, without tampering by either party.

Flight Insurance
One of the earliest forms of smart contract insurance to reach production is flight insurance. Due to a range of uncontrollable variables such as weather and maintenance, flights are often delayed, leading to inconveniences for business travelers. Flight insurance policies allow travelers to mitigate these opportunity costs, as they pay out compensation in the event of a delay. One example is Etherisc, a decentralized insurance protocol that leverages Chainlink oracles to retrieve flight data in order to confirm whether or not it’s been delayed. By removing the need for dispute periods, insurees are guaranteed that they will immediately receive a payment if their flight was delayed and insurers are able to reduce costs by removing manual claims processing.

Car Insurance
Modern vehicles come with a wide range of internal sensors, internet connectivity, and even native APIs. The winner of Chainlink’s 2020 Virtual Hackathon, Link My Ride, made use of some of these data points, allowing the smart contract to specify a rental period, unlock the vehicle doors for the renter, record the length of time rented, calculate mileage driven, determine the remaining battery charge, and automate rental payments. These functionalities came together to create a complex car rental contract for a Tesla vehicle using a custom external adapter. As vehicle-based APIs grow more sophisticated, new forms of insurance will become available including parametric car insurance that triggers based on numerous impact sensors in the vehicle or insurance discounts based on metrics like mileage driven per year.

Just by looking at some of the use cases for ChainLink, I'm convinced with potential. With the current price, it's already 100X ed from 2017 prices.

I'm glad to see your points about Hive and LINK and I don't know many things in crypto and am happy to continue to learn together with our LeoFinance community.

The "oracle problems" are very real: blockchains store data but the data in the blockchains are as good as the shabbiest oracle. "Garbage in, garbage out" fully applies. However, does it follow that the solution is ... another blockchain? I don't see the ... "link" 😉! Or, in rethorical terms, it's a "non sequitur": the problem is real, but that doesn't imply the solution is ChainLink

Let's take the second example, "car insurance" - the problem is neatly explained. Now think of Hive: what part exactly cannot be solved by using Hive instead of ChainLink as underlying blockchain ? One doesn't need "trustless computation" to specify a rental period, unlock vehicle doors for the renter, record the length of the time rented, calculate the mileage driven and automate rental payments. Quite the contrary, blockchain-based "smart contracts" increase the cost and brittleness and decrease the customer experience because the execution is slower than it could have been (you need to wait for at least one block, which would otherwise not be warranted).

Instead, you could have done all those calculations in simple code which would provide a smoother user experience and would be cheaper to write and easier to maintain and might very well use Hive as blockchain back-end to keep record and automate rental payment for instance.

Personally I'm invested more on HIVE than anything else.

Same here. I won't measure the return on my investment on HIVE just from a financial point though. There is personal growth, healthy support networks and connections, being able to contribute towards the creator economy are just a few returns I can name. Also if we can build small sustainable businesses or community tokens with HIVE then we can be in charge of the gains.

RUNE has huge potential as it's being the decentralized liquidity network and facilitates cross-chain liquidity pools with no pegged or wrapped tokens.

Judging by the 2017 bullrun, ALL alts will rise as bitcoin nears it's top, even the rubbish. The key is making sure you cash out in time. Charles Lee sold all his Litecoin in 2017 and it was smarter than holding because Litecoin still hasn't recovered to it's 2017 high.

$3000 before 2025

Definitely. I own some LINK ETFs on Binance and my take is that LINK will get somewhere between $200 and $500 this year or going into the next one, but I don't see it close to $3,000 any time soon. 2025? Definitely.
