Ko Kret to Nonthaburi Ferry - 3:44 Minutes of Your Life You'll Never Get Back!

After seeing this, you'll realise there is a reason I don't do video content. My phone is crap, the weather is crap and the biggest reason, I am crap, but I still like to have a little fiddle with all the great toys on Hive and today it's the turn of @threespeak.

We went over to Ko Kret, a little island in the middle of the Chao Praya River in Bangkok for a walk. The only way to get there is by the boat you see and the one-way trip costs 2Baht which is 5pence or 6cents.

Just so you know what to expect, there is blurred out of focus video, me telling the wife to get her head out of the way of the temple, me moving the camera too fast and a bloke smoking a cigarette. I managed to pack so much into 3:44.

You might also notice how terrible the weather has been here this year. I think every video and photo I've taken has been dull, grey and cloudy. At the end of this, you will see some huge black clouds which proceeeded to empty in a biblical deluge on us just as we set off home on the motorcycle.

Finally, please notice the water hyacinths as we get to the other side. They are becoming quite the obsession but at least it provides some continuity!

Time to press 'post'. Apologies!

@nathen007

PS What does 'autofill title' mean please?

😂 crossing the river like a pro without any life jacket. The quality isn't that bad though, you should share more, like walking to 7eleven or the market!

Life jackets lol...you need to get over here lady and check it out for yourself.

As for the short, live snatches of real life, I might just do that in my new community :-)

Hope you're well Mac and best wishes to your dad. I just saw your tweet and it's awful seeing loved ones after a stroke, you just give him a bit of your time and he'll be happy :-)

hahaha soon! I just been researching and apparently you guys have slightly different season timing than we do. It's rainy season in Indonesia until January-February where its constant rain in some provinces but Thailand seem to have lesser rain and those month considered as "peak" season. Thank you for the encouragement Nathen!

Jan/Feb is the best time to visit Bangkok . No rain at all and not too hot but for the islands, it is often different.

Sounds like great time to escape rainy and humid Indonesian weather :D

Phone, recording skills, not bad at all. Weather, I see what you mean but kudos you for trusting a boat that sounds like a worn out draw bridge.

Just read you were away to Portugal shortly. Have a great trip and try and put the stress to the back of your mind. My thoughts are with you both, but obviously more of them are with your better half.

As for the boat...we were safe as houses as we were wearing our masks. What could possibly have gone wrong? In any case, you ain't getting a Carnival Cruise for 5 of your English pennies ;-)

'This is Thailand' as they say :-)

Yes'ir, much Paris content coming your way. Leaving UK for good on Saturday. You guys been to France yet? For as long as I can remember, all I've heard is how horrible the French are but I'm putting it on the blockchain now—that's a lie. iHeart Paris.

..obviously more of them are with your better half.

If it wasn't for her I wouldn't be allowed anywhere!

Sorry you're away from UK, I'm back on 18th.

Paris, I've been a couple of times and loved the elegance and Frenchness of it all! It's just so beautifully European. Helps when you speak a little French too!

Safe travels, get a wall tagged so next time I'm in Brighouse, I can hunt it down!

Brighouse...who the fuck would travel half way around the world and end up in Brighouse pfft ;-)

Funny. We heard similar when we stayed in Hull. I didn't think it was that bad. Then again in Manchester and, again, not that bad. We try not to stay anywhere longer than 30 days, anything longer leaves too much time for disappointment. Out of everywhere we've stayed in both England and Wales, we both agree Liverpool is our favorite.

We've enjoyed our time here man.

I personally enjoy amateur videos! Maybe a stabilizer would be a good choice if you want to upload videos to Hive! In any case, I really liked your video! Is it true that there are still measures for COVID? In any case, give my best wishes to your warm smiling wife!

Hey mate. Thanks! All COVID restrictions are lifted finally as from yesterday but it will be a long time before people stop wearing masks I think. You still cant go in shops or malls without a mask on!

Hope you're having a great weekend. Best wishes to you and your family :-)

Thank you and yes you could but I do understand your hesitancy! When you come here, you need to push everything health and safety and European to the back of your mind, grit your teeth and go for it lol

Hope you're having a beautiful weekend :-)

You are welcome @nathen007 😊
You know I have here problems going in a small boat and heights… so not sure about that. But I know, if really needed, I will 🤓

So far… yes, having fun here 😎 enjoy your weekend too!
Happy HPUD 😊
