💓 ¡Hola queridos Hivers! 💓
¡En este día vengo a hablarles de algo muy llenador para mí, que obviamente incluye gatos haha!
💜 Juntandose para la comida 💜
Hemos participado de muchos voluntariados, pero este es especial y diferente. Hemos hecho trabajo voluntario a cambio de hospedaje y comida usualmente, esta vez mi única retribución será llenar mi corazón y alma de alegría al poder ayudar a más de 100 gatos que se encuentran viviendo en El Cementerio Baquijano, en el distrito del Callao- Lima.
Los chicos del colectivo son personas que se han unido con el fin de ayudar a tener la vida más digna posible a los gatitos que ya habitan y otros muchos que abandonan en el cementerio. Los conocí el día de los Premios Best Mishi, me dieron un panfleto y entre las opciones de ayuda estaba la del trato directo con los gatitos. Yo quiero aportar a mi comunidad, al mundo… Porque creo que todo el planeta es mi hogar, y me parece que la mejor forma es ayudando a los animales y niños, sin distinción de raza ni clase social 🤗
💜 Gata muuuuyyyy embarazada 💜
Pude tomar pocas fotos porque fue bastante laborioso, intentábamos atrapar con una “trampa” a una gata feral que esta muuuuyyyyy embarazada de verdad debe tener muchos gatitos en esa panza y luego de fallar mañana es otro día, esperemos se logre llego el momento de darle alimento y cambiar el agua de los gatitos 🙂 Las fotos fueron tomadas con mi teléfono porque Jhon estaba ocupado así que no pudo asistir, disculpen la calidad, hace lo que puede el pobre 😅

El cementerio es gigante, y es como un laberinto, además, así que el primer rato solo fue indicarme las áreas donde suelen reunirse los gatos, presentarme a ellos mientras me hablaban de los más “sobresalientes”, bien sea por su personalidad, necesidades especiales o situación específica. En la entrada se ubican los gatos que son más sociables, y así nos vamos adentrando al área hasta que llegamos al territorio de los más ferales. Todos tienen comida, agua y amor por igual!

¡Fue un primer día bien intenso para mí! todos los gatitos eran demasiado lindos, querían amor y comida 😂 la verdad es muy ocupado y se nota cuando las personas hacen las cosas desde el amor. Los voluntarios van a ayudar, se turnan para tratar de que los gatitos no estén solos por el día mientras está abierto el cementerio. Hay personas que en muy buena onda les llevan comida, esto es una situación delicada, pues hay perros en la zona, y al ver la comida han tratado de atacar a los gatos.

Otra situación que ha sucedido es que han llevado comida envenenada. Esto me rompe el corazón, pero es una realidad, así que ahora comprendo mejor cuando en anteriores ocasiones Jhon y yo hemos llevado comida a gatos o perros y personas “a su cargo” se han puesto con una mala actitud con nosotros, muchas veces solo querer ayudar no es suficiente, siempre hay mejores formas :)
Y bueno, chicos. Con esto me despido! Estoy tratando de hacer un espacio el día de mañana para ir de nuevo al cementerio, de cualquier forma me haré fijo 1 o 2 días a la semana para ir a ayudar así que esperen más fotos y videos de los gatitos. ¡Mucho amor para todos y gracias por llegar hasta acá! 💞 Abrazos, besitos, tomen agüita y cepillense los dientes! 💞

On this day I come to tell you about something very fulfilling for me, which obviously includes cats haha!
💙 Gathering for the meal 💙
We have participated in a lot of volunteering, but this one is special and different. We have done volunteer work in exchange for food and lodging usually, this time my only retribution will be to fill my heart and soul with joy to be able to help more than 100 cats that are living in El Cementerio Baquijano, in the district of Callao-Lima.
The guys of the collective are people who have joined together in order to help the kittens that already live and many others that are abandoned in the cemetery to have the most dignified life possible. I met them on the day of the Best Mishi Awards, they gave me a pamphlet and among the options for help was to deal directly with the kittens. I want to contribute to my community, to the world... Because I think the whole planet is my home, and I think the best way is to help animals and children, regardless of race or social class 🤗

I could take few pictures because it was quite laborious, we were trying to catch with a "trap" a feral cat that is very very pregnant she really must have many kittens in that belly and after failing tomorrow is another day, let's hope it's possible it was time to feed her and change the kittens' water 🙂 The pictures were taken with my phone because Jhon was busy so he couldn't attend, sorry for the quality, he's doing his best 😅

The cemetery is gigantic, and it's like a labyrinth, besides, so the first time was just to show me the areas where the cats usually gather, introduce me to them while they told me about the most "outstanding" ones, either for their personality, special needs or specific situation. At the entrance are located the cats that are more sociable, and so we go into the area until we reached the territory of the fiercest, all have food, water and love alike!

It was a very intense first day for me! all the kittens were too cute, they wanted love and food 😂 the truth is very busy and it shows when people do things with love. The volunteers go to help, they take turns to try to make sure the kittens are not alone for the day while the cemetery is open. There are people who in a very good mood bring them food, this is a delicate situation, because there are dogs in the area, and when they see the food they have tried to attack the cats.

Another situation that has happened is that they have brought poisoned food. This breaks my heart, but it is a reality, so now I understand better when in previous occasions Jhon and I have taken food to cats or dogs and people "in charge of them" have had a bad attitude with us, many times just wanting to help is not enough, there are always better ways :)
And well, guys. With this I say goodbye! I'm trying to make a space tomorrow to go to the cemetery again, anyway I'll make it a regular 1 or 2 days a week to go and help so expect more pictures and videos of the kitties, lots of love to all of you and thanks for making it this far. 💞 Hugs, kisses, drink water and brush your teeth! 💞
