And nice film community! I hope you're all doing well, it's been a while since I've posted, how fast the weeks go by!

Recently, I saw a movie that I thought was excellent, and I can't stop recommending it to you. Among its curiosities is that it is Argentine horror cinema, from the year 2017/2018. Its director is Demian Rugna, who was also in charge of the script and the musicalization of the audiovisual work. Its protagonists Maximiliano Guione (Police Commissioner), Norberto Gonzalo (Jano), Elvira Onetto (Mora Albreck), Demian Salomon (Walter), Agustin Rittano (Juan), Natalia Senorales (Clara), Julietta Vallina (Alicia).

It is about a community where lately accidents have been happening constantly, and this has led to inexplicable events.

❗ SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS❗ The opening scene begins with Clara explaining to Juan that she hasn't been able to cook because she heard voices in the plumbing that said they would kill her. Juan doesn't hear anything, but at night there are noises, he thinks it's his neighbor who is doing remodeling in the early morning, and goes out to yell at him, only to return home and find the reason for the noises, Clara banging against the bathroom walls.

This whole event makes Juan the only suspect in Clara's death, and 3 people approach him offering their help, asking him to tell what has happened in the last weeks in the neighborhood. This is how we learn that a child was run over in front of Walter's house (Juan and Clara's neighbor), and that child apparently reappeared 4 days after his death.

Mora says that Walter was trying to communicate with her before disappear, asking for help. Apparently all the events have a kind of connection and they must check the houses to prove a theory, different dimensions run over the same reality, and depending on the side where you look they can show or not, but the entities that are there can communicate with you and hurt you.

The film has a very interesting story, Rugna tells that it was inspired by "Poltergheist", "The Entity" and "The Hoop", all excellent references of horror cinema. What caught my attention the most were the makeup and the practical effects. This is something I really appreciate in movies, you have to be very skilled and creative. The sound effects gave the touch to many of the scenes, several gave me goose bumps, the performances (especially the policeman) make you feel overwhelmed, with real panic. Very pleasant surprise in this film!

He is a director who is certainly giving a lot to talk about, he recently released "Cuando acecha la maldad", I saw it followed by this one and soon I will write a review about it.

Recientemente, vi una película que me pareció excelente, y no puedo dejar de recomendárselas. Entre sus curiosidades está que es cine de terror argentino, del año 2017/2018. Su director es Demian Rugna, quien también se encargó del guion y la musicalización de la obra audiovisual. Sus protagonistas Maximiliano Guione (Comisionado de policía), Norberto Gonzalo (Jano), Elvira Onetto (Mora Albreck), Demian Salomon (Walter), Agustin Rittano (Juan), Natalia Senorales (Clara), Julietta Vallina (Alicia).

Trata sobre una comunidad en la que últimamente han estado ocurriendo accidentes constantemente, y esto ha llevado a eventos inexplicables.

❗SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS❗ La escena inicial comienza con Clara explicándole a Juan que no ha podido cocinar porque escuchaba voces en la cañería que decía que la matarían. Juan no escucha nada, pero por la noche hay ruidos, piensa que es su vecino que está haciendo remodelaciones por la madrugada, y sale a gritarle, para luego volver a casa y encontrar la razón de los ruidos, Clara golpeándose contra las paredes del baño.

Todo este suceso hace que Juan sea el único sospechoso de la muerte de Clara, y se acercan 3 personas a él ofreciéndole su ayuda, le piden que cuente lo que ha pasado en las últimas semanas en el barrio. Así es como vamos enterándonos que atropellaron a un niño frente a la casa de Walter (el vecino de Juan y Clara), y ese niño al parecer reaparecio a los 4 días de su muerte.

Mora cuenta que Walter estuvo tratando de comunicarse con ella antes de desaparecer, pidiéndole ayuda. Al parecer todos los eventos tienen un tipo de conexión y deben revisar las casas para probar una teoría, diferentes dimensiones corren sobre una misma realidad, y dependiendo del lado donde se mire pueden mostrarse o no, pero los entes que allí están pueden comunicarse contigo y hacerte daño.

La película tiene una historia muy interesante, Rugna cuenta que se inspiró en "Poltergheist", "El ente" y "El aro", todas excelentes referencias del cine de terror. Lo que más me llamo la atención fueron el maquillaje y los efectos prácticos. Esto es algo que aprecio mucho en el cine, hay que ser muy habilidoso y creativo. Los efectos de sonido le daban el toque a muchas de las escenas, varias me pusieron la piel de gallina, las actuaciones (sobre todo la del policía) te hacen sentir agobiado, con verdadero pánico. ¡Muy grata sorpresa la de esta película!

Es un director que sin duda está dando de que hablar, recientemente estreno "Cuando acecha la maldad", la vi seguida de esta y pronto redactaré una reseña sobre ella.
