Sowing Seeds and Seeking Blessings: A Day in Devbhoomi

After digging, we have removed the weeds from the fields. Now the field is ready for sowing peas. Tomorrow we will start sowing peas.

I asked my maternal uncle's son to go somewhere and he said that we are sowing peas tomorrow so why not go to the temple. Himachal is also called Devbhoomi. We have faith in Gods and Goddesses which we have learned from our elders.

We start climbing uphill from home. Our body is very tired after working in the fields all day, due to which we are walking very slowly. There are apple and pear orchards all around us. Then my maternal uncle's son's eyes fall on the lemon tree. Since there is no house nearby, we pluck some lemons from the tree without anyone's permission. Since I don't have a knife, I cut it with my teeth and as soon as the lemon juice hits my tongue, my lethargy goes away. We save the rest of the lemon for home.

After walking for half an hour we reach the temple. The door of the temple was closed. Because of which the offerings we brought are kept outside the door of the temple. We were probably late so the temple was closed. Construction of a new temple nearby is also in progress. After spending some time in the temple, we return home.
