Our yearly trip to Mora

Our favorite spot for relaxing has and will always be Mora in Dalarna. This is the place where we can relax and have a nice weekend without any tv or mobile, the only thing we enjoy here is nature. The reason why we love it the most is because, even if there are many people living here at the same time there is no noise. There is no traffic noise, no people talking loudly, only the beautiful voice of nature.

First trip to Mora

The first time we came here was in 2012 and at that time our kids were too small but we chose to come by train and bus. But from that first trip we learned that it's better if we come by car due to our small kids and all the stuff we have to take with us. So from the past years we have been coming here every year by car and it takes us from Stockholm to Mora about 3-4 hours and the distance is 318 km. But the best part is that our trip has many stops where we take a paus, so it doenst fells so long. For example we always visit a cool shop called Picaboo. It has some funny stuff, snacks, accessories that my kids love to buy from there.

The first thing we do when we book our cottage is to make a list of what we have to take with us, we plan our daily meals and clothes etc. We choose our clothes and iron them before packing. We pack our playcards and other stuff to have fun with.

The planing
This time we decided to have grill items with us for lunch and dinner. So we told our nearest grocery shop to make some grilled marinated items ready in the morning for us, so that we can pick it up on the way to our trip.

That was a really good idea, with that we bought some fruits, baguette, cheese, vegetables etc. It was a lot of food we had in our car and enough for 3 days. It's not that we can't buy anything there, but when we are there we just want to spend as much time as possible in nature, not doing grocery shopping.

Stops Waterfall

This time when we planned our trip to mora we decided that we should see some very beautiful waterfalls that my husband @shahzad-ansari had told us about before. The first one was a 2 hours road trip from Mora and the other was 1,5 hours. We decided to drive directly from Stockholm to Stops waterfall which would take us total 4.5 hours, and that we could return to our cottage and rest overnight.

This waterfall was very easy to find, but very difficult to reach because we had to climb down all the way to the waterfall.

But after the climbing you get a wonderful view. As soon as you get near the waterfall you get amazed. It is absolutely amazing, I can't describe it in words. It was very hot and very relaxing to spend some time here.

Chilling in the cold water

IMG-20230708-WA0019(1).jpgThe best thing we did was to take with us some chilled fruits to enjoy in front of this view.
This place is surely a place to visit again.

Fulufjället nationalpark, Njupeskär waterfall

Next day's plan was to visit Njupeskär waterfall because it was 2 hours from Orsa where we were staying. We woke up early and packed our water bottles and fruits. two hours driving through very narrow roads, and only greenery was amazing yet little scary. But the roads are really fine to drive on. You see people riding bikes, cycles and walking by the side and you don't feel alone on the road. When we reached there, there were a lot of people in the parking lot. Folks of every age were excited to see the big waterfall.

From the parking lot to the waterfall it was a 2 km walking distance. It's a tracking area so we could choose different ways to reach the waterfall. We took the fastest way and even that was not easy.

During the walk of 2km it started raining, but nothing could stop us.

This view my God was unbelievable

Still some distans to reach the waterfall

When we reached the waterfall it was a view that can't be explained in words. The experience is amazing, the rock walls and the mountains around you. It was a bit scary to see the big rocks and you are in the middel of the real nature.

My husband, Saif and Hamza went as close as they could.

We sat there and ate our melon and rested there as long as we wanted. Just sitting there and listening to the water falling and nature's voice is amazing, you kind of disappear in nature.

I am happy that we finally made our trip as we planned. And everytime you go for a trip you definitely learn something new. I try to remember what I do on my trips and try to improve it and do it better next time.

Hope you liked my blogg, Ill come back soon with a new trip blogg.
