It's time for the new round of this contest


Needleworĸ Yoυr Jeans!


Last year we broke a record number of entries with this incredible contest. There were a total of 47 entries full of creativity, ingenuity and lots of needlework. We had a lot of fun reading each entry .

Due to the large number of entries, we had 2 big groups of winners. The first group of winners was chosen by the judging panel and the second group was chosen by all the participants and community members in the after contest.
We all had the opportunity to vote for our favorite project, it was wonderful all the participation and interaction that arose around this contest, that's why this year we want to invite you again to find those jeans you no longer use and give them the opportunity to become something beautiful and creative.

Show us your creative process with some pictures, but we also want more than just a tutorial. Tell us what's behind the project: motivations, ideas, difficulties, anecdotes etc.






Contest Guidelines


1.- Make your project with jeans fabric or something similar.

2.- All items you make with jeans must include a needle. We will also accept any form of fiber arts that has to do with knotting, braiding, felting, tying or any form of fabric and thread manipulation. You can even combine different sewing techniques together.



Some Ideas


You can make garments or transformations of garments, accessories such as bags, pencil cases, cosmetic holders, costume jewelry.

Objects for the kitchen such as pot holders, aprons, cup holders or glass holders, placemats or ornaments.
Whatever you can think of that can be made with jeans.





Rules


1.- Show at least three photos of your creative process.

2.- Include a translation into English if you write in another language.

3.- Mention the source if you publish patterns that are not your own.

4.- Comment and support at least two entries in the contest.

5.- Use the hashtag #NEEDLEWORKYOURJEANS.

6.- Post directly in the NEEDLEWORKMONDAY community.

7.- Leave the link of your participation in the comments section of this publication.

Yuuupiiiiiiii!!!!!! que alegría me da que hay vuelto uno de los concursos que me encanta. que bueno que haya llegado en un buen momento para mi. Me gustaria que todas las manualistas de la comunidad se unieran a esta iniciativa que alegra el corazòn de todas. que no se quede ninguna sin participar. 😅

Yay, one of the great contest that I ever joined last year was Needleworkjourjeans contest. It was really exciting and the participants were all awesome with their works. Good thing Katty thought of bringing this back again. Thank you Katty.🥰😍

Wow! how exciting a new contest, I'm about to finish a project that is just about jeans and the contest comes at the perfect time, I hope to make my entry soon. With jeans you can create a great variety of works, it is a resistant and durable fabric.

Greetings to all.
I am honored to be able to submit my entry to the contest, this is my first time entering it, and so far I have seen wonderful work.
I almost didn't make it, but I finally achieved my goal by being a part of this. It has been quite an outpouring of talent and creativity.
Congratulations to all of you.

I just watched an episode of Project Runway, in which the challenge was to recycle jeans! The finished pieces were absolutely amazing: cannot recommend it too much, for those of us wanting to up our jeans recycling game!
