There are days when sadness overwhelms me, and in those moments, photography becomes a faithful companion. When I feel overwhelmed by emotions, picking up my camera becomes a refuge. It is a way to capture what I feel, to externalise that burden I carry inside. Through the lens, I find a new focus; not only on the external world, but also on my internal world.

When I look through the viewfinder, sadness becomes more tangible. Every shadow, every contrast, reveals a story. My tears, which are usually invisible to the world, become part of a deeper composition. It's as if the camera is saying to me, "It's okay to feel what you feel. Capture your pain, because it's also part of you."

Photography gives me the freedom to explore my feelings. When I capture a gray, cloudy landscape, I find beauty in the melancholy. Each image becomes a reflection of my emotional state, and when I look back at those photographs, I am reminded that sadness is also part of life.

So the next time I feel that knot in my stomach, I will remember that photography not only welcomes me, but also accompanies me on my journey toward understanding and accepting what I am experiencing. Sadness can be dark, but through it, I find lights that guide me.
