[ENG/ESP] Chicken Stew with Potatoes, easy recipe to make 🥘 🍗 🍽

Hello friends, today I am going to bring you a delicious dish that I love to make for my family, stewed chicken with potatoes, I am a fan of chicken more than red meat so this is one of my favorite meals, I will give you the step by step of simple way and some tips that I use, so let's get to work. This recipe is for 3 people, you only need to increase the amount by two for a whole chicken.

Hola amigos, hoy les voy a traer un delicioso plato que me encanta hacer para mi familia, pollo guisado con papas, soy fan del pollo más que de las carnes rojas así que este es uno de mis comidas preferidas, les daré el paso a paso de manera sencilla y algunos tips que uso, así que manos a la obra. Esta receta es para 3 personas, solo debe aumentar la cantidad por dos para un pollo entero.

Ingredients

Medium or large half chicken.
3 garlic cloves
2 large or 3 medium potatoes
1 large carrot or 2 small ones
Chives or Chinese onion as it is known elsewhere to taste
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Dried oregano to taste
English sauce
Onoto (achiote) to color the chicken a teaspoon.

Ingredientes
Medio pollo mediado o grande.
3 dientes de ajo
2 papas grandes o 3 medianas
1 zanahoria grande o 2 pequeñas
Cebollín o cebolla china como se le conoce en otras partes al gusto
Sal al gusto
Pimienta al gusto
Orégano seco al gusto
Salsa inglesa
Onoto (achiote) para darle color al pollo una cucharadita.

Process:
We chop the chicken and the vegetables to use, previously washed with water (for both the chicken and the vegetables, I wash them in water with a teaspoon of vinegar), after doing so we proceed to place them in a pot to start adding the seasonings that we will use , in my case the garlic, salt, pepper, sauce enters and oregano.

Once this is done we place it on the stove over medium heat, I add 15ml of water and oil (optional), to give greater consistency to the chicken juice, eye the chicken when covering it sweats naturally so it does not need water, but I speed up the process by adding a little water and oil, preventing it from sticking in the pot.

Proceso:
Picamos el pollo y las verduras a utilizar, previamente lavadas con agua (tanto para el pollo como los vegetales, los lavo en agua con una cucharadita de vinagre), luego de hacerlo procedemos a colocarlos en una olla para comenzar a echar los condimentos que utilizaremos, en mi caso el ajo, sal, pimienta, salsa ingresa y orégano.

Una vez hecho esto lo colocamos en la hormilla a fuego medio, yo le echo 15ml de agua y aceite (opcional), para darle mayor consistencia al jugo del pollo, ojo el pollo al taparlo suda naturalmente por eso no necesita agua, pero yo agilizo el proceso al echarle un poco de agua y aceite, evitando que se pegue en la olla.

Ya después de esto solo hay que dejarlo cocinar por espacio de 45m más o menos y vigilar que no se seque, para esto debe pasados unos 15m colocarlo a fuego bajo.

Listo el pollo, solo queda acompañarlo con lo que desees, en mi caso arroz y plátano asado. Espero que te gustará la receta y pruebes hacerlo en casa, es rápida y sencilla, disculpen que aun tenga el uniforme de mi trabajo, pero llegue a cocinar. Me cuentan si la hacen y que les pareció.
