Hello community, today I bring you one of the first books I read from my uncle's collection, "The Three Musketeers" by Alexander Dumas, along with "The Count of Monte Cristo", this writer caught me by his way of writing and his stories of adventure. Of all his books "The Three Musketeers", it is without a doubt the most famous and well-known of all, they have been made over the years, plays, movies, series and comics of these emblematic characters. The book was written in 1844 and published in serials by the newspaper Le Siécle, between March and July, it was not until a few years later, 1866, when it was published as a book.

Despite the fact that many people think that the movies, series and others are faithful to the original story of the book, this is not the case, there are many things that they left out and that most people do not know because they prefer to see the movie than to read the book. They don't know what they're missing by not doing it, it gives them a new perspective on the story when they do and they realize what they've missed by not reading it. The novel begins when an 18-year-old boy (Gascon) in 1625, from a noble but ruined family, leaves for Paris with a letter from his father (who was a musketeer), fifteen coins and a horse as his only possessions, to become a musketeer. . On the way to Paris he stops at an inn where he will get into trouble and there he will find not only those who would later become his companions and friends by challenging each of them to a duel (Athos, Porthos and Aramis), but he will also find an enemy for life.

Here begins a series of adventures in which the young D'Artagnan (Gascon), will participate to make his dream come true and become a king's musketeer. This novel is full of adventures where the author fills us with emotion with the fights and funny moments of his characters without forgetting the constant palace intrigues where Louis XIII and his wife Anne must take care of the enemies who try to undermine the court to exercise pressure and favors for them.

The villains cannot be missing in a good book and the character of Cardinal Richelieu Prime Minister and his agents Milady de Winter and Count Rocherfort, will try to stain the honor of Queen Anne, with their intrigues and traps that will put the queen in check. unless our musketeers save her. Reading each adventure and how brilliantly and intelligently the court plots are planned is exciting from beginning to end and many do not know that Dumas wrote two more books that are continuations of the adventures of these musketeers, but with gaps in time between them. of more than 20 years.

These books that are considered a continuation of "The Three Musketeers" are "The Return of the Three Musketeers" and "The Viscount of Bragelonne", so they are a trilogy.
