It's been a while since I've seen a miniseries that left me wanting another season like the impression Mare of Easttown made on me. It is a miniseries of 7 chapters that grows in emotion as you watch them. Starring and co-produced by Kate Winslet, created by Brad Ingelsby and directed by Craig Zobel, this miniseries brings us a story full of ministry in a small town (Easttown) in Pennsylvania, where a series of events will shock the citizens and place Mare (Kate) at the helm to solve the mystery.

Hacía un tiempo no veía una miniserie que me dejara con ganas de que hubiera otra temporada como la impresión que Mare of Easttown, me causo. Es una miniserie de 7 capítulos que va creciendo en emoción mientras los vas viendo. Protagonizada y coproducida por Kate Winslet, creada por Brad Ingelsby y dirigida por Craig Zobel, esta miniserie nos trae una historia llena de ministerio en una pequeña ciudad (Easttown) de Pennsylvania, en donde una serie de sucesos conmocionaron a los ciudadanos y colocaran a Mare (Kate), a la cabeza para resolver el misterio.

Featuring a cast of actors including: Julianne Nicholson, Jean Smart, Angourie Rice, Evan Peters, Cailee Spaeny, David Denman, John Douglas Thompson, Patrick Murney, Ben Miles, James McArdle, Sosie Bacon, Joe Tippett and Neal Huff. That each one lived up to their characters, highlighted what was for me one of the best miniseries of 2021. Marianne (Mare) Sheehan is an Easttown detective sergeant who is a divorced mother and grandmother who leads an apparently normal life and monotonous, but inside she carries a huge load of guilt for her son's suicide. A character that Kate, she does perfectly and which makes her shine by giving her that strength that drives her to discover the murder and disappearance of several young women in the city.

Con un reparto de actores como: Julianne Nicholson, Jean Smart, Angourie Rice, Evan Peters, Cailee Spaeny, David Denman, John Douglas Thompson, Patrick Murney, Ben Miles, James McArdle, Sosie Bacon, Joe Tippett y Neal Huff. Que estuvieron cada uno a la altura sus personajes, resaltaron lo que fue para mi una de las mejores miniseries del 2021. Marianne (Mare) Sheehan es un sargento de detective de Easttown quien es una madre divorciada y abuela que lleva una vida en apariencia normal y monótona, pero que en su interior lleva una enorme carga de culpa por el suicidio de su hijo. Un personaje que Kate, lo hace a la perfección y el cual lo hace brillar al darle esa fuerza que la impulsa a descubrir el asesinato y la desaparición de varias jóvenes de la ciudad.

The suspense and the desire to see what will happen in the next chapter make the viewer stay in his seat, the unexpected turns surprise us and when you think that something is already resolved, you realize that it is not like that, a new twist appears, leaving us with astonishment lost and looking for a new culprit. I will not do spoilers because the truth is that I would love for those who have not yet had a chance to see it to read this review.

El suspenso y las ganas de ver que deparara en el siguiente capitulo hacen que el espectador no se despegue de su asiento, los giros inesperados nos sorprenden y cuando piensas que ya se resuelve algo, te das cuenta que no es así un nuevo giro aparece, dejándonos con asombro perdidos y buscando un nuevo culpable. No haré spoiler porque la verdad que me encantaría que quienes aun no han tenido chance de verla lo haga a leer esta reseña.

Mare is a character, human, somewhat broken by what she has lived and who deals with the feeling of guilt for not having been able to prevent the death of her son, but also in her own way deals with her feelings and takes refuge in her police work. to help his community, he knows everyone because he grew up with many of them. Mare es un personaje, humano, algo roto por lo que ha vivido y que lidia con el sentimiento de culpa de no haber podido evitar la muerte de su hijo, pero también a su manera lidia con sus sentimientos y se refugia en su trabajo de policía para ayudar a su comunidad, conoce a todos porque creció con muchos de ellos. Sabe diferenciar entre su deber como policía, sus amistades y familia para hacer cumplir la ley. En el transcurso de su investigación se pondrán a pruebas todas sus relaciones y como ella deberá lidiar con cada una de ellas, para encontrar el equilibrio de salir adelante.

Una miniserie que avanza de manera vertiginosa en cada capítulo para demostrarnos como a veces lo personal puede afectar tú trabajo y las decisiones desesperadas pueden hacernos cometer errores que pueden costar el trabajo. Con desapariciones de jóvenes y el asesinato de una, la investigación y los resultados que te sorprenderán, esta miniserie es un coctel que no debes dejar pasar. Para mí es un 10 sin lugar a dudas.
