Cat Spa, Furry in the Bath

avatar
(Edited)

Cats by default don't like water or better to say they don't like to have bath. Not my Furry. She is rather extraordinary cat in many ways. One of them is her affection of being washed and groomed. My other cat Blue is just the opposite. Although her curiosity brings her to the kitchen sink to watch me washing the plates or sneaking in the bathroom and peeking behind the curtain when someone is taking shower.

However, my post today is about Furry and her bath. I must say that I had couple of posts before showing photos of what I call cat spa. Today the photos are fresh from the last time Furry had her spa time.

It is spa time, Furry.

After the bathtub is filled with water and the bubbles from the shampoo are enough, we put Furry in.

First splash of water.

She is patient and she is not bothered at all when the water is poured on her back.
So, we keep on until her fur is wet.

Her thick fur soon will be soaking wet and it is time for good rub.

Furry is big cat, 6 kilos and a half. You can imagine when it is wet how much more she weighs.

It is so easy with her, she loves to stay still while we brush and comb her.

She may be wet, but she keeps her dignity.

Last shot is not the best, she managed to shake before we cover her with the towel.

Next comes the big drying which requires more people and I had to leave the cameta and grab the hairdryer. Unlike the calm cat in the water, she changed her mood when she is out. Still, she can be patient a bit longer while I am trying quickly to dry her. After that she will run and find a spot to finish the grooming by herself.

I can't help myself but to tag @papilloncharity, because he has this lovely and adorable dog Troy who also have bath. ☺ I found some similarities between Troy and Furry, but you have to find yourself and check his post.

Thank you for stopping by.
I can imagine, same like my other cat Blue,, who is not happy at all in the water.

Hahaha, Troy is more like your cat Blue my friend.
Amazing to see how Furry loves the water, as I chase the cats here with the water hose, as they want to eat our little birds in the garden.
But when they see the water they run like the clappers.

I think that Furry is a great cat indeed.

Thank you for the mention and have a !BEER

I knew that they have something in common, Troy and Furry. 😀
But most cats will run from the water instantly.
Not Furry, she jumps in the bathtub. LOL

It's a beauty your cat is very well cared for, if she looks this nice wet, dry she must be prettier ,of my cats some get very stressed during the bath and others are more used to it

We are humble servants ☺
It takes time and efforts to look after our pets, but it is worth.

My girl Keekee and Furry have such similar faces!

Im hopeful she might learn to like baths since she likes playing with the water on tap, pouring water on her but filling baths is not fun. Still she does better than most, no clawing or crying from her, just will try to leave when she gets impatient.

Furry tho looks so relaxed, so cute

Glad to hear your cat looks mine.
It is a big relief to have so relaxed cat when washing her, I must admit.

The secret is, we began washing her at very early age, when she was just 4 weeks old.

Hello @nelinoeva. Easy task bathing Furry. I congratulate you for that. I bathe my cats and sometimes the task gets a bit complicated but I manage to keep control. You have to know how to treat them gently and firmly at the same time. And they manage to calm the anxiety. Very beautiful Furry.

Here my virtual hug ♥

How many cats have you got?

I have had many cats, since I was a child I have never lacked cats at home. But today I only have one and I tell you the truth, it belongs to some neighbors only that here he feels good, loved and cared for. It is a shared love 😉. Although they mistreat him 😩. My last cat died since then I take care of the spoiled visitor. And grand boy it is. Very spoiled and beautiful.

Oh, I see. Furry is my first cat and last year we rescued Blue, so we end up with two cats now.

Excuse me, my internet misbehaves. I once had 5 cats. A great job but great times together. I love animals and cats are special.

Thanks to you for sharing Furry's bathroom here.

I wish you a nice day ☕

Cats are special indeed. ☺
I had no clue before what it would be having a full house with pets. I have a dog as well.
But they make our life complete.

Wishing you a nice weekend!

Beautiful frames! And Amazing cattitude. (My daughter is asking: how often do you wash Furry?)

We wash her not very often, in two or three months.
She was four weeks old when we did it regularly, because of her fungul infection. And she just got used to it.
