Hello to all the moms and dads of this community! This is my introduction as a grandmother of 3 beautiful children whom I love dearly and mother of 3.

Soy venezolana y mi familia es toda de este hermoso país. Cuando comenzó la crisis mis hijos se vieron obligados a emigrar para conseguir mejores oportunidades laborales y primero mi hija mayor la madre de mis 3 nietos, emigró a Perú con su esposo y mi nieto mayor que era el único para ese entonces.

I am Venezuelan and my family is all from this beautiful country. When the crisis started my children were forced to emigrate to get better job opportunities and first my oldest daughter, the mother of my 3 grandchildren, emigrated to Peru with her husband and my oldest grandson who was the only one at that time.

Al poco tiempo mi hija le pidio a su hermano que la siguiera y me quedé en Venezuela con mi hija menor. Nació mi segundo nieto y la nostalgia y desesperación por estar con mi familia reunida me atormentaba todos los días.

Soon after my daughter asked her brother to follow her and I stayed in Venezuela with my youngest daughter. My second grandson was born and the nostalgia and desperation to be with my family reunited tormented me every day.

Entonces hace un año exactamente, salimos de Venezuela con más miedo que ganas, porque los cambios grandes siempre nos asustan. Y dejamos todo atrás. Solamente una madre que ha tenido que emigrar por carretera a un país lejano sabe lo que pasé en ese trayecto. Pero he tenido mi final feliz, me reuní con mis hijos y pudimos establecernos en Perú.

So exactly one year ago, we left Venezuela with more fear than desire, because big changes always scare us. And we left everything behind. Only a mother who has had to emigrate by road to a distant country knows what I went through on that journey. But I had my happy ending, I was reunited with my children and we were able to settle in Peru.

A month ago my princess, my spoiled granddaughter, was born and I was able to enjoy my daughter's pregnancy and delivery and help with my grandchildren while she recovers. I feel blessed and having my family together is such a blessing.

Last week my son @mike.cupcakes helped me with the tree and the nativity scene, since he has always been the one who puts together Christmas at home.

Hace un mes nació mi princesa, mi nieta consentida y pude disfrutar del embarazo de mi hija y del parto y ayudar con mis nietos mientras ella se recupera. Me siento bendecida y tener a mi familia reunida es una gran bendición.

La semana pasada mi hijo @mike.cupcakes me ayudó con el arbolito y el pesebre, ya que desde siempre él es quien arma la navidad en casa.
